Dr. Lou, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the compassion, gentleness, and care you showed us tonight and for helping us with Gunner. This has completely broken my heart, but Dr. Lou’s presence, patience, and the way he walked us through every step meant more to me than I can put into words. In one of the hardest moments of my life, he made us feel supported and cared for, and I will never forget that. Thank you for being exactly who we needed.

There are not enough kind words to describe how amazing my experience was with this practice. The vet was so kind, patient, explained everything, handled everything. Having to euthanize my first dog was so painful. Thank you for helping us through this process. I would a-thousand-times-over recommend this practice. He came to us, respected us, our home and our sweet dog. This allowed us all to be as calm as we possibly could be, and especially our dog. They also took care of all of our aftercare.

Dr. Lou is a wonderful human being. He is understanding, caring and helped our dog over the rainbow bridge with compassion and peace. He worked with us to schedule the right time and we are so sad to lose our beloved Darla but so thankful for Dr. Lou providing a way to make it a little easier.

The decision to end your beloved pet's suffering is never an easy one. My 18 year old kitty hated to go to the vet. When her time came, Dr. Huzella came to our home, and gave her the gift of peace. His kindness and compassion at this difficult time were unparalleled. Knowing my kitty got to spend her final moments at home in my arms gave me great comfort. I highly recommend Dr. Huzella and Huzella Veterinary Services.

Dr. Huzella is a great doctor. I've used his service a number of times for my pets. He is empathetic to the situation and cares for and is very careful with my pets. He is calm and professional yet relatable. He made the experience much less stressful because he listens and explains calmly the processes. His in home services are a blessing when it's not comfortable for your pet to go to an office and so convenient. His prices are the same as a going to a Veterinary office and he'll also travel. I live one county over from his base area. I would 100% recommend.

In both instances, we turned to Huzella Veterinary Services, and we are endlessly grateful that we did. Dr. Lou approached each visit with deep compassion, professionalism, and kindness that helped make an unthinkable moment just a little more peaceful. Having our dogs pass at home, in their favorite spots, surrounded by love, made a world of difference—and that was only possible because of the care and support Dr. Lou provided.

From the moment he arrived, Dr. Lou was calm, patient, and incredibly gentle—not only with our pets but with us as well. He took time to walk us through each step, answered every question with empathy, and never rushed a single moment. It was clear that this work is more than a profession to him; it’s a calling. The respect and dignity he showed to our dogs, along with the comfort he brought to our family, turned a devastating experience into something meaningful and full of love.

I can't speak highly enough of Huzella Vet Services! When it came time to say goodbye to our sweet old pup, Dr. Huzella was willing to come to our home so we could say goodbye where we felt comfortable and, even better, saved our dog the stress and discomfort of a car ride. He took his time, explained everything, and made sure we knew what to expect as he helped our girl over the rainbow bridge. He showed compassion, patience, and a gentleness that gave us great relief and comfort--we are extremely grateful to him and highly recommend this business!

I contacted Dr. Huzella about giving my 13.5 year old German Shepherd her golden wings to Rainbow Bridge. He was great to work with regarding a schedule that was best for not only me, but for my dog. We were able to promptly scheduled it. He was on time and prepared. He also walked me through the entire process. He was very gentle with my entire family and my dog. Going through this is never easy, no matter how many times. So, having this done in my own home, which I had never done before, was so amazing! It bought such peace to all of us. But also having Dr. Huzella be so comforting, caring, and knowledgeable truly made this a peaceful blessing. I received her remaining back quickly and he delivered them back to me. I really can't say enough great things. I HIGHLY recommend his service.

Losing your pet is never easy, but we were blessed to have Dr. Huzella come to our home for Kimber's euthanasia. Kimber hated going to the vet, so I couldn't imagine her passing there. Dr. Huzella had great communication when we were trying to schedule the right time. During the process, he was thoughtful, respectful & explained everything. He treated Kimber like the family member she was. Highly recommend Dr. Huzella.

Truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr Huzella and team. Just the people you need for this type of situation. Convenient, professional, patient & understanding. Always accommodating to your needs, times and even places of euthanasia... When the "time comes" we spend some time with our dog(s) at the park.. give them their favorite treat while they're calm and relaxed right there in the car or wherever we find most comfortable for them and Dr. Huzella shows up on time (which always feels too soon unfortunately) and it's a smooth sail - straight into heartache-. It's never easy saying goodbye to your pet but they really do help bring extra peace and comfort when you and your pet need it the most. Thanks for all you do ! Such an important job and tough too, I can only imagine. We appreciate your work, compassion and knowledge in what you do.

What can I say about Dr. Lou, he’s the most compassionate, kind hearted person. Dr . Lou has been to my home three different times . Three of the most difficult days of my life. Every thing that was taking place Dr. Lou explained everything to me what was taking place. When each of my dogs quit breathing Dr. Lou gave me time with each of them to say my good byes. He carried each of them in their favorite blanket. Gentlely placing them in the car. I love this place that Dr.Lou comes to your home. My dogs we’re surrounded by their families in there last monuments of life. I recommend this place highly. Thank you Dr.Lou, Teresa Johnson and family! ❤️

Dr. Huzella has helped us to say goodbye to two of our cats now, and I could not possibly recommend him more highly. He is so incredibly caring and kind, responding quickly and going out of his way to accommodate timing and offer reassurance when needed. He also takes the least traumatic route for the pet, skipping the senseless shaving and catheterizing that simply add stress and pain for your furbaby. He gives you plenty of time to say goodbye at your own pace and is respectful and professional in every way. I am in no rush to say farewell to another of our pets, but there is no question of who I'll call when I do.

I have used Dr. Huzella’s services 3 times now over the years and he has been amazing. He made the process as bearable as humanly possible when loosing a pet. I would come back to his services anytime as long as he provides them. He has great bedside manner and great understanding of griefing humans. I would highly recommend to anyone! It’s so much nicer for the pet and family to be in the comfort of your home surrounded by familiar faces and it helps the other pets adjust and comprehend better what is going on. I saw on FB a lot of posts about Dr. Huzella and how he was so compassionate and caring when having to make the hard decision to put their beloved pet down. I faced that same fate with our beloved Katie Girl. We knew it was time but doesn't make it any easier. My husband called Dr. Huzella and he answered on the 1st try! Dr. Huzella came to our home, explained everything to us so we knew what was going on. He was so gentle and caring for our Kaite and me, as I was a mess! I would highly recommend Dr. Huzella to anyone!
