I’ve been seeing Lauren for therapy for the past 4 years. Her services have always been exceptional. In therapy, she provides reassurance, a touch of positivity, as well as practical, actionable steps I can take to solve/prevent the issues that have been bothering me. She is always there for me when I am going through a rough patch; she makes me feel less alone in this world as I fight my everyday battles. Her therapy sessions also have a personal touch to them because she gives her own insight into my struggles — not as a clinical therapist but as a fellow human, so it’s not like I’m just telling her my issues and she just asks, “how does that make you feel,” every time. She is personable and has a bubbly personality, which makes her therapy sessions more fun, exciting, and comforting than just standard therapy. She also provides realistic insight that actually challenges certain maladaptive thoughts that have caused issues in my life and a way to be resilient towards them. She is that third eye — which is very wise — that gives you a constructive view of your issues and how you can realistically move forward. She has become a cornerstone in my life and has guided me through situations that seemed impossible to come back from. I cannot imagine going through life and all its ups and downs without her. Having her guidance is truly a blessing. 5/5 stars

I've been using Family and Youth Services for years, and it's by far the most helpful and best therapy i've received. I have depression and anxiety, and it's wonderfully managed thanks to my therapist Irene Guarino. Happy to be part of this network.

I can honestly say that Family & Youth Services (Lauren in particular) provided me the most fundamental tools to move past the most difficult times of my life. The issues that befell me were no small matter, as they would have broken most people. Through their professional, consistent and emotionally supportive applications and guidance, I'm now able to move forward in the healthiest of ways. And most of all, unlike other practices, they gently but firmly allow you the grace and time it takes to realize some hard truths about yourself and your life choices. They advocate for what is best, not what is easiest. And that's what I needed. I currently still use their services and provided I have the means, I will continue to do so for as long as I can. I cannot recommend the practice enough.

I reached out a year ago To Family and Youth Services to find a counselor that I was compatible with. Sharing my personal thoughts, feelings, and pain with someone is not always easy to do. When I met with Irene, our connection was indescribable. Irene has taught me a lot about myself in the past year. She has given me a better way of thinking and understanding as to the person I truly want to be. I am so grateful to have met such an incredible and professional human being.

Staff there are amazing and work with each individual patient. They are polite, genuine, and work with the patient’s best interest in mind. I’m so glad I found them!!!
