The transformation and improvement I've had from the total hip replacement by Dr. Hood has been nothing short of a miracle. Over the course of 10 years or so, the pain in my hip increased so much that I could barely walk into a grocery store and back to my car without severe pain. My hip hurt constantly, so my activity levels decreased. After the hip replacement done by Dr. Hood, I have no pain, and have resumed all the activities I did years ago. The entire process was excellent. He uses the latest techniques, is detail oriented and thorough, and very focused on his patients. If you need a hip replacement, get Dr. Hood. Thank me later . . .

Dr Hood and his staff make the whole procedure from start to finish a very easy process. They take care of you and all appts from the pre- op physical to physical therapy . He and his staff care very much for their patients. I wish I had done my hip replacement years ago!

35 years old with TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT and finally able to live a pain free life😊😊😊I cannot express my gratitude toward Dr. Hood, his amazing PA and the team!! From the first meeting to my most recent follow up appointment he not only listened to my words but paid attention and asked questions when i was silent to make sure i understood and was comfortable. This man and his team checked all the boxes for me and having met him is truly life changing for myself and my family!! I am a firm believer that you have to have physicians that know how to talk to you in a way that makes sense for your life; understanding not every patient/surgery is the same and that is what Dr. Hood does!

Everything about my experience with Dr. Mark Hood, his team and Community East Surgical Center was absolutely top drawer! The communication before and after my hip replacement with different members of his team, including the doctor himself, was exceptional if not a bit stunning. I never anticipated my surgeon and his PA would both call me personally to answer any questions and to see how my healing was progressing. Dr. Hood has a warm bedside manner, he explained everything and patiently answered any and all questions my husband and I had. 6 weeks post-op and I’m pain free and walking without a limp. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Mark Hood and his team!

Doctor hood saved my life when I got an infection in my hip joint in July of 2024. Now, after my hip replacement I’m back to doing the thing I love. He had me back to work in 4 weeks after hip replacement surgery! Unreal!!!

I fought hip pain for several years, long mistaking it for Sciatic issues. I went to see Dr. Hood who quickly found it to be a disintegrating left hip. I had a total hip replacement done on Halloween, and by the first of the year I felt better than I had in 9 years. Thanks to Dr. Hood I can now go shopping, or on long walks and they are pain free events.

Exceptional Experience! Total hip replacement with Dr. Hood in November. Having never had any surgeries, I interviewed multiple surgeons in the area to find the one I felt most comfortable with. From the initial consultation to postop care, they made me feel reassured and supported every step of the way. Dr. Hood called me at home to answer any questions and even called me the night before the surgery for additional support, which put me at ease. The surgery itself went flawlessly and experienced faster than expected recovery. Thanks to Dr. Hood and his entire team. They were a professional, kind and caring. They made a very stressful experience so much easier for me. The entire experience was five stars from the consult to the physical therapy. I couldn’t have asked for more positive experience. I’m currently 10 weeks post-op and am back to my old workout routine routines with zero pain! I highly recommend Dr. Mark Hood for anyone seeking first class surgical care.

Dr. Hood and his team did a great job during the entire process. I Had a knee revision due to the failure of a partial replacement that I had done a year ago. I had an incident 3 weeks post op and they were quick to get me back into the office and had X-rays taken. Fortunately everything was okay. The key to a complete recovery is to follow their instructions and do your PT religiously. I highly recommend Dr. Hood and his top notch team.
