Knee replacement & hip replacement both done by Dr Hood- fantastic orthopedic physician.

I saw Dr. Hood for a total knee replacement. I was in so much pain prior to my surgery 6 weeks ago. Dr. Hood explained everything thoroughly regarding the surgery, as well as what I needed to do for this to be successful. It was well worth the surgery. I have PT, as well as daily exercises that are helping with my healing process. I am still recovering and was informed that it takes time, which is reassuring. I am looking forward to eventually being able to run with my dog, swim, and be active the way I want to be.

Dr. Hood and entire staff at Community hosp East made my toyal hip replacement seamless. All aspects were explained and any questions or concerns answered promptly addressed. Now I have no pain and I'm able to look forward to self care and staying in my own home. Thank you Dr. Hood, so much for a pain free independent life.

Dr. Hood is very easy to talk to: he listens and explains everything thoroughly. He made sure all of my questions were answered pre and post surgery. He had in home physical therapy start the day after surgery. This was a huge step in improving recovery time. His Physician Assistant, Lindsay, as well as the rest of his office staff has been very supportive and helpful in answering questions after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Hood to anyone needing hip replacement surgery.

I had a hip replacement in Oct. at Community North by Dr.Hood. I have had one of the best experiences with a surgeon that I've ever had having a surgery. Dr. Hood was very professional as well as compassionate regarding my situation.He called me the morning before surgery on a Sunday, to make sure all my questions and concerns had been answered. The day of my surgery went smoothly. I would highly recommend Dr.Hood for any orthopedic issues!

Dr Hood is a consummate professional and I am very pleased with his work on my hip replacement…I highly recommend him ….He and his staff took excellent care of me and the recovery was quick and practically painless …I had my other hip replaced in a posterior operation years ago and it was 7-8 weeks of pain and rehab…Dr Hood did an anterior replacement and, within 3 weeks, there was very little pain and rehab was minimal…wonderful surgeon…

I am elated on how easy my recover has been after my right hip replacement performed by Dr. Hood. The procedure is a modern day miracle with the techniques that Dr. Hood used. I had very minimal pain and was able to be free of my walker and cane by the 8th day post surgery. I feel so fortunate to had Dr. Hood do my surgery. He was very vested in my well-being and an excellent communicator. He even called the night before surgery to make sure I was doing OK. I am a healthcare provider myself, and was trying to find a flaw in their system and I couldn't find one. That says a lot! Outstanding surgeon but more importantly a compassionate results orientated professional.

I researched the best robotic hip replacement surgeons in Indiana. Dr Hoods name came-up. I was very fortunate that he excepted me as a patient. At our first visit he explained the procedure explicitly. Within 3 weeks, I had a new hip! In Hospital at 6AM home at 7PM Absolutely no pain whatsoever! Dr. Hood is fantastic!

Dr. Hood performed hip replacement surgery on my 88 year old mother. He is fantastic and my mom is doing so well! Aside from being obviously very skilled, he's a nice guy. He's calm, patient, and took time to answer my mom's questions, and ours, along the way. He made a scary situation much easier. Mom loves him. His staff is wonderful too!!

Recently had a hip replacement with orthropedic surgeon, Dr. Hood. This experience was wonderful as Dr. Hood is caring and compassionate while very skilled with hip replacements. I would recommend him to anyone considering hip or knee replacement.

Dr. Mark Hood and the staff were wonderful. During my post-op appointment today, Dr. Hood was on time and greeted me and my wife in a warm and friendly manner. He reviewed X-rays of my new titanium knee he operated on back on June 24th. He gave me an in-depth review of the progress, asked me probing questions to gauge my current pain level, and was most encouraging about how good the knee looked. He took time to look at my ankle as well since i had sprained it after the surgery. He ordered x rays which took maybe 10 minutes from picture to review. Dr Hood and staff were consummate professionals as well as caring human beings. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon and friendlier staff.

Dr Hood replaced my about hip six weeks ago. The surgery went smoothly, and I was mostly pain free within a week. Because of his use of the anterior approach, movement restrictions were not as severe, and physical therapy could progress quickly. I've had a great experience and highly recommend Dr Hood.

Dr. Hood replaced my right hip. He did a great job! I am now pain free and walking fine without walker or cane.

I had a torn Menescus and was dealing with it for over a year and I could barely walk because of all the pain I got into see Dr Hood and he did a MRI found the tear and scheduled me for out patient surgery and went in and fixed it 6 week later with physical therapy I am 100% better and no pain he is so nice and didn't sugar coat it I would rather it be that way he called me himself to Check on me after surgery I have never had a doctor do that before would definitely recommend him to anyone great group of people .
