Doctor hood saved my life when I got an infection in my hip joint in July of 2024. Now, after my hip replacement I’m back to doing the thing I love. He had me back to work in 4 weeks after hip replacement surgery! Unreal!!!

I fought hip pain for several years, long mistaking it for Sciatic issues. I went to see Dr. Hood who quickly found it to be a disintegrating left hip. I had a total hip replacement done on Halloween, and by the first of the year I felt better than I had in 9 years. Thanks to Dr. Hood I can now go shopping, or on long walks and they are pain free events.

Exceptional Experience! Total hip replacement with Dr. Hood in November. Having never had any surgeries, I interviewed multiple surgeons in the area to find the one I felt most comfortable with. From the initial consultation to postop care, they made me feel reassured and supported every step of the way. Dr. Hood called me at home to answer any questions and even called me the night before the surgery for additional support, which put me at ease. The surgery itself went flawlessly and experienced faster than expected recovery. Thanks to Dr. Hood and his entire team. They were a professional, kind and caring. They made a very stressful experience so much easier for me. The entire experience was five stars from the consult to the physical therapy. I couldn’t have asked for more positive experience. I’m currently 10 weeks post-op and am back to my old workout routine routines with zero pain! I highly recommend Dr. Mark Hood for anyone seeking first class surgical care.

Dr. Hood and his team did a great job during the entire process. I Had a knee revision due to the failure of a partial replacement that I had done a year ago. I had an incident 3 weeks post op and they were quick to get me back into the office and had X-rays taken. Fortunately everything was okay. The key to a complete recovery is to follow their instructions and do your PT religiously. I highly recommend Dr. Hood and his top notch team.

I saw Dr. Hood for a total knee replacement. I was in so much pain prior to my surgery 6 weeks ago. Dr. Hood explained everything thoroughly regarding the surgery, as well as what I needed to do for this to be successful. It was well worth the surgery. I have PT, as well as daily exercises that are helping with my healing process. I am still recovering and was informed that it takes time, which is reassuring. I am looking forward to eventually being able to run with my dog, swim, and be active the way I want to be.

He had in home physical therapy start the day after surgery. This was a huge step in improving recovery time. I had a hip replacement in Oct. at Community North by Dr.Hood. I have had one of the best experiences with a surgeon that I've ever had having a surgery. Dr. Hood was very professional as well as compassionate regarding my situation.He called me the morning before surgery on a Sunday, to make sure all my questions and concerns had been answered. I am elated on how easy my recover has been after my right hip replacement performed by Dr. Hood. The procedure is a modern day miracle with the techniques that Dr. Hood used. I had very minimal pain and was able to be free of my walker and cane by the 8th day post surgery. I feel so fortunate to had Dr. Hood do my surgery. From the first meeting with Dr Hood, I felt I was in capable hands. Lindsay (PA), Bailey, Shelby, Jasmine, Michelle, Terri and the Same Day Surgery team provided me with support, power when I wanted it and choices when I needed them. I researched the best robotic hip replacement surgeons in Indiana. Dr Hoods name came-up. I was very fortunate that he excepted me as a patient. At our first visit he explained the procedure explicitly. Within 3 weeks, I had a new hip! In Hospital at 6AM home at 7PM Absolutely no pain whatsoever! Dr. Hood is fantastic!

Dr. Hood performed hip replacement surgery on my 88 year old mother. He is fantastic and my mom is doing so well! Aside from being obviously very skilled, he's a nice guy.
