I have received care from Dr. Grant Gilliland for several different issues with my eyes. Each and every time I saw him I knew I was being treated by a world class physician. Exceedingly well educated and trained, he has always been approachable, comforting, and diligent in making sure my issues were assessed and treated appropriately. Most recently, he performed upper and lower blepharoplasty for significant drooping of my eyelids which blocked my vision. I am exceedingly pleased with my results, not only from the standpoint of fixing my problem, but also from the standpoint of the "cosmetic" result. People actually ask me if I "had my eyes done" because the result is so natural and functional that it just looks like I just skipped back to my early 40's. It does not look like I had "plastic surgery" on my eyes, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid. I basically had no bruising at all. And I look forward to my 6 month check up so he can photograph my results and share them with other patients and those who are contemplating having him do this surgery. Without hesitation, I have eagerly referred many family members and friends to him. They have all had similar impressions and results as I have had. And I would say that if you're contemplating seeing him in consultation, you should feel absolutely certain that he will do a fantastic job for you as well. 5 STARS and 2 THUMBS UP! My experience of this procedure was one of the first. After 3 1/2 months I've seen great results, a major difference, even some minor healing left. I am confident with the end results, it's been well-worth this whole experience, and not to mention the excellent and compassionate surgeon, Dr. Gilliland whom I highly recommend.

Dr. Gilliland is literally such a king👑!!!! When I met him he gave me hope and through "one of the hardest surgeries he's ever done" he gave me my life back! Not to mention he's suuuuper chill, kind and funny. He's a true legend and is great at what he does! If you're reading this and been given a horrible prognosis or have been turned away by multiple Neurosurgeons and oculoplastic surgeons like I was, rest assured that his team are the ones you needed all along. Also, I'm not gonna leave out Dr. Caetano Coinbra (The skull base surgeon who worked with him on my case). He is a treasure trove of wisdom and has a no nonsense approach. I owe the world to both of these men and I proudly stand by them. Edit: Last but certainly not least, they literally peeled off half my face, replaced a quarter of my scull with titanium (due to the tumor growth), peeled that tumor off my optic nerve and other cranial nerves, slapped that stuff back together and 3 months later I look completely back to normal!!!! I inserted some pictures of me right before surgery, after waking up, and now after 3 months. The proof is in the pudding✨

Dr. Gilliland and Staff have been professional and courteous through the process for my orbital decompression surgery due to thyroid disease. I am about 3 weeks post-op from my orbital decompression, and I couldn’t be happier. I am male, and I was 16 when I was first diagnosed with Graves Disease and Thyroid Eye Disease, and now I am 25. To finally have normal eyes is a great feeling. I had significant enough proptosis that prohibited my eyelids from shutting all the way at night, and I would feel a large pressure behind my eyes that was quite troublesome to deal with on a daily basis. The severe dry eyes and pressure both were completely resolved due to the surgeries. In addition to the above, the look of my eyes is absolutely stunning now, even with more healing still left to go. My proptosis was asymmetrical, which makes now having mirror-like symmetry even more satisfying. My friends and family keep making comments like “your eyes look completely normal now!” and “you look so good!”, and anyone reading this wearing similar shoes as mine will know how precious it is to hear those comments. Dr. Gilliland did a phenomenal job. He really comes across as genuine, caring, confident, and intelligent – what more could you ask for in a surgeon? 10/10. Regarding his staff, I found them all to be very kind and helpful. I felt well-informed about my procedure, what to expect, how much to pay, where to go the day of surgery, etc. I even live 6 hours away from Dallas, and they were very accommodating of that. Again, 10/10.

First visit. Paperwork emailed beforehand - nice. Short wait time - nice! Support staff - a little bit aloof. Dr Gilliland - awesome. Very calm and engaged. So many doctors move 100MPH and seem eager to get to their next patient making me feel disrespected for my time and money, not this guy. He took time with me. Engaged in social conversation. Took pictures and explained what was going on with my eyelids and how he proposed to correct it using his iPad and sketching over the photos. For this visual learner, that was perfect for me. He was excellent in answering questions and tailoring his explanations to my communication style. Overall impressions are excellent. I’m eager to get my procedure scheduled.
