GoogleGoogleDr. Gilliland conducted orbital surgery for malfunctioning behind my left eye in 2008. My surgery took hard work and many hours but I am so thankful for Dr. Gilliland. His bedside manner is more than you could ask for in a doctor- he cares. My surgery was successful and recovery too!

She trys really hard to Schedule surgeries fast for us. This is very difficult when you have to get 3 doctors together at the same time. I have no complaints about this office.

RateMDSDr. Gilliland is very professional and knowledgeable. He was always very kind and personable., The staff was awesome. My insurance paperwork was excessive and the insurance person endured a lot of extra work, but in the end it all got taken care of. I appreciate her hanging in there with me. Overall I’m very happy with the end result, given the amount of work he had to do. I had 2 orbital wall fractures right eye from a fall. He repaired that, removed my bags, one of which had slid down the inside of my face due to the fractures and while we were at it, he gave me an eye lift. My left eye in pictures does not quite look the same in my opinion, but most don’t notice it unless I mention it. It’s so minute Dr. Gilliland said it would not be a good idea to have surgery for it because the outcome is not guaranteed. Anyway, for the most part I’m very happy and would recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr. Gilliland ☺️

His quiet, calm, confident manner is more than reassuring. Immediately all tenseness and worry disappears. I had an eyelid repaired. I Would love to do it again. In his hands it was a nonevent. Dr. Grant reflects great credit himself, the medical community, and all those who serve with him.

RateMDSDr. Gilliland is an amazing eye surgeon in the Dallas region! I had a chalazion removed from my upper eyelid that healed completely without any bruising or scarring! After a week, you couldn’t even tell I had eye surgery. I’ve had chalazion cysts previously removed from my eye that healed completely, but I was also bruised for 2 weeks during the hearing process. That wasn’t the case for my procedure with him. He was very gentle and informative throughout the entire procedure! He’s a great Dr I fully trust and would highly recommend him for any eye procedure!

RateMDSI developed dry eye syndrome some years ago. I had my left eye sewn closed twice and was basically blind for 90 days. Light would just bring me to my knees. I had towels tucked in about every window sill of my condo. I could not read or watch TV so I walked inside my condo listening to books on tape. I had a friend who had donated $60 million to eye research, so I had access to basically every doctor in the world. I spent time at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA and the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City. I saw specialists at each, along with a host of other doctors. I had been putting warm soaks on my eyes 4-5 times an hour, every hour of every day. I had tried acupuncture, pressure puncture, electric puncture, and had even slept with magnets on my eyes for 6 months. By the grace of God, I was able to visit Dr. Grant Gilliland in Dallas, Texas. To say that he saved my life would be a true fact. He was not only the most efficient doctor, but was so compassionate. He understood how badly I was hurting and how afraid I was that I might not see again or have any type of normal life. I cannot adequately explain here what Grant Gilliland did for me. Please, please, if you have an eye problem, get an appointment with Dr. Grant Gilliland. He is an excellent doctor, who is is conservative in his treatment so you don't feel pushed into treatment for any other reason than your best health. I wouldn't dream of recommending anyone else.

GoogleMy experience with Dr. Gilliland and the entire staff was truly a life-saver. Before meeting with him, I had already been examined by two neurosurgeons and three neuro-ophthalmologists elsewhere. Dr. Gilliland was the only doctor who correctly diagnosed my problem and took the time to speak honestly with me about it, as well as help me choose the wisest path for treatment. My situation was a granular cell tumor embedded on the left optic nerve at the orbital apex, extending into the orbital canal. His consultations were clear, informative and understanding. The staff gave me excellent preparatory instructions for what to expect the day of surgery. The surgery itself went wonderfully. It was a high-risk procedure, and now 8 years later my quality of life is still 1000% better than before. He and his staff have always been gracious and responsive to my questions. I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with an issue related his specialty.
