Fun evening on the ghost/murder tour in Salida. This is our third time staying in the area, and the first time we really appreciated the history of Salida. Steve definitely knows the official history and the lurid details.

What a great way to spend a summer evening! You learn a little Salida history but mostly it’s about the hauntings around town and the history and historical people driving the phenomenon. It’s great for skeptics and believers!

Such a fun, interesting way to get to know the downtown area. The stories are authentic and add additional color to the beautiful historical buildings. Definitely worth it!

Learning the history of Salida, our guide was an amazing story teller. He interacted with all tour guests and really seamed to know what he was talking about. He made us laugh and fearful to look into windows! It was a really fun experience! I had my mom, my older son (21) and my younger son (8) with me and everyone loved it!

Positive: Quality The Salida Walking Tours was a 5 star experience. They were very accommodating by giving our family group a private tour for safe social distancing. We took the Wild West Tour. Steve Chapman our guide made the history of Salida streets come alive with stories, evidence, photos and more. He was very knowledgeable and professional. His love of the town and its history was contagious. I highly recommend this company and experience for all ages. I will take an other one of their tours soon.

My friend came into town for a Vietnam and we had a lot of fun on the 21+ late night walking tour. It was a good balance of the dark history, jokes, and pit stops to enjoy some of the local breweries. Our tour guide Steve made sure to include the whole group in all the laughs. Thanks for showing us a good time!

Don't leave Salida without taking this short distance, easy pace walking tour. Our guide Steve rocked the casbah with his wit and knowledge. Our family will be back for this tour again and the other tours this outfit provides.

We live in Salida and had company in town . We wanted to do a history tour. The tour was fun and full of neat information. We happen to do a Sunday morning tour and it was perfect.

Steve was very knowledgeable about Salidas history...not to mention his great sense of humor!!! His facts and tidbits were very interesting and I learned a lot about Salida that I didn't know and I've lived in the area since 2006!

Positive: Quality Great storytelling from an enthusiastic host. Had a small group due to covid but was a bonus for us. Lots of questions and got to meet some locals that experienced the stories. Great fun!! Went back to Salida 2 weeks later and took the history tour with Steve and had another great time.

INCREDIBLE tourist attraction with a great host, Steve! You learn very fun history about Salida (and I am not a history person at all ;) but the information was very intriguing and the buildings are gorgeous. Steve was professional, enthusiastic, and SO MUCH FUN! Trust me- you don’t want to miss this gem of an attraction on your trip!

What a wonderful way to learn about the history of Salida! Steve was an awesome guide and had so much knowledge. The stories, including his own personal experiences, made it fun. We ended up having a tour with only myself and my friend - many tour companies would have cancelled, so we appreciate you doing the "private" tour just for us - it made it even more fun! The walking tour was a lot of fun! Probably one of the coolest ways to learn a little bit more about Colorado history! 100% will recommend to people. The beer/drinks were great too!

Steve Chapman was our guide. Very knowledgeable a good story teller. He gave you the “feel” of old Salida. Steve also has a good sense of humor and related to all ages in the group. He wore a microphone so all could here.

My sister came in from Chicago and we went on the late night "Boos" tour. What an EXCELLENT time!! Steve is so knowledgeable about Salida's history all while cracking jokes and dancing down the streets. I highly, HIGHLY recommend for anyone who is curious about the town in the days of the wild west, can let loose, and handle a big sense of humor 😉

I’ve spent the last few days doing a driving trip around Colorado, and yesterday’s stop was Salida. While there we took the Murder and haunting walking tour. Steve was an excellent guide, telling many stories about Salida and areas nearby. He is a good storyteller, if not a comedian.

Ghost and murder tour was perfect. Some rain and an empty town added an eerie tone to his speech. Steve kept us anxiously waiting for the next story of mayhem or ghostly deeds. Seeing our town in a whole new perspective, a depth of knowledge opening our eyes to things never noticed before.
