This is easily one of the best and most informative tours I have enjoyed. Our guide, Stephen, knows the history of Salida and brings it to life at every stop. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking to understand the area and the development of not just Salida but how the town represents the history of this great state. Puts so much in context. I enjoyed the History Tour and will be back for the other tours. Don’t miss it. And, if you enjoyed the tour and want to learn more about the area and how it came to be I highly suggest one of the books our guide has written on the history of Salida. Found mine on F Street at the little bookstore. Author is Stephen Chapman. Very cool read as well. Enjoy

Steve was friendly, fun, and well informed. What a wonderful experience. We went as a small group from out of town. Not only did we find out some really interesting stories, but we also learned a lot about places to visit in town and met some of the locals. Well worth the cost. If you are anywhere near Salida, I highly recommend this tour!

This tour is a great way to learn a little about Salida and leaves you wanting to learn more of the history. Steve is very knowledgeable, courteous, and a bit witty. Do not expect to see ghosts but you are validated if you do. We really enjoyed our tour.

Steve does a wonderful job of telling about the rowdy, haunted, and colorful past of this great little mountain town. So much history in Salida, told in a very engaging and fun manner. We had so much fun spending a cold winter evening walking the town learning about its savory characters, that in some round about way made Salida the weird mountain hamlet that it is to this day. Keep up the great work!

I had such a fun time! Steve was super great and had so many interesting and entertaining stories. I’m a long time local ( since 1984 ) and I still was blown away by his knowledge of the area. Also, all the ghost stuff was really great. I will tell all my friends to take the tour. 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

Steve was a fantastic guide who didn't spare any details. We learned a lot about the history of Salida and the great stories to go along with it. Steve went out of his way to answer any question and show us things that were not included on the tour. It was a nice way to see things I had walked past before in a new light. It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Steve took my fiancé and I on a walking murder and ghost tour with an hour notice on one of the coldest nights of the year and his attitude was great and so accommodating. His stories were amazing and well-researched. He’s an awesome historian and story teller. I would definitely recommend and want to try the booze tour in the summer. Thanks Steve!
