GoogleCarlos is awesome! He arrived on time and ready to get the job done. He explained the process as he went so that I understood everything that was being done and went above and beyond compared to several other techs we have had out to service our system in the last three years. He’s the first one who even took his time to clean the inside as well as the cover that had gotten pretty gross over the years so when he was done the entire system looked brand new and well cared for! I wish I had taken before pictures because the difference is huge. Will definitely be happy to be a repeat customer!

GoogleService rep Mr Vazquez arrived early with e-mail advanced notice, no waiting for hours like last company used. Detailed diagnostics, found issues that last company called for a system failure didn't identify. He was able to restore heating function, give detailed final repair costs and risk of other degradation for a 20 year old system running with the defects identified. Prompt replacement options estimate from company for informed decision. Was highly recommended by coworker and I will do the same.

GoogleThis is my third appointment using Chinook. I thought the first appointment ever was good and very thorough, etc. (First appointment Chinook saw this system + after we purchased and it needed an insane amount of cleaning), the second seemed more routine - it was very quick. For this appointment, (while supposed to be routine) Christian Aguilar-Amirez was the most thorough technician I have ever seen. To be honest, it feels like a crime how much time and effort he put in compared to the rate I paid (prepaid comfort+ so no additional cost to me for "overtime"). Not that I know how to inspect these things, but he got every bit of dirt, dust, debris, etc out of my system. He resecured my thermostat to my wall (it was a little loose), which I honestly never even thought about - the little things, y'know? He did a bunch of other things I frankly don't understand because I don't know HVAC. And he replaced my capacitor, which was $179 ($210 without my membership discount - part plus labor, I assume) for those curious. He spent the morning making sure my system was ready for our lovely summer heat, and I appreciate every minute he spent working on it, and I hope this review reflects well for any employee review or whatever they do, because I feel like Christian knocked my expectations out of the park. I didn't realize this would write over my previous review, but oh well...

German is a knowledgeable and friendly tech and took the time to help me (finally!) install the app for my equipment so that I can control the thermostat from my phone. Life changing! He also went through all the settings to troubleshoot an issue we have been dealing with for over 2 years. He was able to identify the settings that were incorrect (from the vast multitude) and we are expecting great performance and comfort now from our system. Julio came for a follow-up visit to replace a part on our gas fireplace and showed me how to access the glass for cleaning. He also fixed some peeling paint inside the fireplace since it maybe had too light of a coating during manufacture. Both guys were friendly and efficient. On top of the excellent in-home service, I am very pleased with Chinook's communication. They return calls!! Also, they send out a reminder via text the day before the appointment. Another text on the day of the appointment to indicate the time they've been dispatched to my home (within a 4 hour window which was confirmed when I originally made the appointments). GoogleWe have an annual contract with Chinook to test and inspect our heating and cooling system twice per year, at the change of seasons. Their technicians are thorough in their work and respectful of home cleanliness. They know our system and it’s performance over time. Today’s Chinook technician, German, checked my two issues, then did their normal and thorough inspection, and then cleaned the heat exchanger in the air handling unit which he found fouled with quite a bit of dust. We live in a high wind, high dust area. We appreciated his attention to details and could tell the improved performance immediately after he left.
GoogleLuckily, this was a training session and so a senior tech was on site. Julio Castaneda did an excellent job of educating me on the finer points of the Honeywell WiFi thermostat. It is now set up so that Aux Heat does not kick in unless it is 35° or below outdoors! Aux Heat is expensive heat so I’m really pleased at this outcome.and look forward to savings! All my questions were answered with courtesy, patience and a genuine desire to help this tech challenged Customer. He is definitely an asset to Chinook HVAC! Well done! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
