I have had the privilege of being a member of the SMMG since its start, when Dr. Glenn Edgecombe retired. I was with Dr. Edgecombe for 35 years so I hated to see Dr. Edgecombe leave. But, being a patient of Dr. Girish Rao has put my mind at ease of having a new physician. Dr. Rao is a great doctor. He's very knowledgeable, kind, friendly, & answers your questions no matter how trivial they may be. He makes you feel so comfortable. Other family members are also patients of Dr. Rao. Dr. Rao's assistants are also very helpful & pleasant to deal with (Telema & Jocelyn). There was a time when I don't think there were enough receptionists/nurses working the phones & in the office. But I don't feel that is a problem anymore. Whenever I call I am always helped in a pleasant, friendly manner (Arlene). I feel very comfortable & extremely satisfied that my medical issues are being taken care of by SMMG.

My experience at SMMG is always wholesome. Front desk staff, the people at the lab and the doctors are very kind. The doctors have a wealth of experience and they give you an opportunity to express all your concerns. Dr. Rao is exceptional.

I have been going to them for years. Dr. Steele is great, he listens to you. He tries to address all your concerns while taking care of all your medical needs. Good place to go always clean and efficient.

Dr. Rao is the best. I believe I am still here because of his professional diagnosis. Upon his insistence that I get a colonoscopy, after a few years of hesitation, I finally got one and was diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer. Went through my chemo and radiation treatment, had tumor removal surgery. I am still here and very healthy now, thanks to Dr. Rao. Listen to your doctor is the best advice I can give.
