Dr. Hood is wonderful. My hip surgery and recovery has been a breeze. His “bedside manner” has also been great in the office or the hospital, and he is very personable. I will definitely look to him for any future joint issues.

Dr Hood is a great surgeon! I’ve had very little pain since my surgery, 6 weeks ago. Dr Hood answered all of my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend Dr Hood!
He’s amazing surgeon ! Great at explaining details regarding test results, surgery information!! Did amazing job on family members total hip ! Recovery was great just like he said it would be ! Also, his staff is amazing too !! When I get ready to have my total knee, he definitely will be my surgeon !!!

Dr Hood made me feel so hopeful today. I was ready to honestly give up, see I suffer with PTSD. I am facing many tragic events in my family, the death of my sister and brother, my brother-in-law having heart surgery all the week of Thanksgiving, also my daughter being diagnosed with Cancer. Shes scheduled for immediate surgery that I as her mother have to be there in Arizona on Friday. The pain I was in yesterday was extreme. My original appointment was for Jan. 17th 2026. When Dr. Hood got the message of what I was going through he opened a space for me to get injections in my knees today 12/09/25. I cried so much even now. I felt a sincere personal concern for me and my life. Im soooo grateful. Theres not enough words to express the exceptional gratitude I feel. Dr. Hood and his staff has gone above and beyond. Wonderful beside manor. Very through exam. Explained & showed me everything i needed to know about my hips & bone spurs, on my hips.Came up with great plan for the pain.I do believe I found & chose the right Dr for my issues.

After doing research I visited Dr Hood with knee issues. His demeanor instilled confidence that I had the right Dr. He did not push me to the decision to replace. We tried a conservative approach, and that fell short. Once the decision was made, he and his staff handled every detail. The procedure and everything I would need for after care and recovery was provided and arranged by them. The procedure is a serious one and his guidance and advice was on point. It was uncomfortable to say the least but doing the work and following his guidance helped me to recover extremely well. I found Dr Hood , his PA Lindsey, and his entire staff made me feel confident and comfortable in the entire process. On a 1 to 10 scale, Dr Hood and staff easily rated a 10 in my book.

I appreciate every aspect of the total knee replacement procedure that I have undergone with Dr Hood and his team. From the pre-op class and the detailed, prescribed step by step direction on what I was to experience; the medication prescribed and titration for pain; responsiveness on line to questions and medication refills by staff; and exceptional counsel on what to expect and how to address the life changes associated with my knee. All around, an excellent experience from the entire team at Community Hospital.

I have had 2 joint replacements performed by Dr Hood this year. Dr Hood has been awesome throughout this whole experience. He took the time to address any questions or concerns about the surgery. He also explained what would happen during the surgery.
