Easy delivery, reasonable rates, and friendly staff! They even changed out my surfboard halfway through my rental because it had a crease in it. We will definitely use Pleasure Island rentals again if we return!

We rented bikes and were satisfied overall with the service. I recommend bringing your own helmets as they had very few, and none in my size. Also, if you plan to bike, time spent on reconnaissance is seldom wasted, so plan your bike route before you arrive.

Online booking process for surfboards was a little confusing as the site lists several models and sizes but you can’t select anything but a generic rental. Staff who handled call were helpful. Selection of boards for our weekly rental was a little thin but our pickup day was a Saturday so not surprising. We had poor waves/conditions all week and were delighted when we were allowed to bring the boards back Saturday morning instead of Friday night. This gave us a chance to catch an early morning low tide that offered the best surf of the week before heading home. Would rent again.

We had a quick and easy kayak rental. They delivered and picked up. We were going to rent an umbrella too, but it was a different department, and they didn’t deliver with the kayaks. So we ended up not getting an umbrella because it was a hassle. The kayaks were a breeze though.

Excellent experience! Our family rented bikes for the day and the price was very affordable and the customer service was excellent. We had to return the bikes at 7pm and I could only say I wished we could have kept them until about 9pm.

I rent an umbrella every time I vacation at Carolina Beach. It is the BEST spent money of my vacation! The umbrella is securely set up every morning in a nice location on the beach, labeled with my name, and we get to enjoy sitting there without getting blasted by the sun. The staff rides up and down the beach, and is readily available to assist if needed. Very nice young staff , with great personalities. I highly recommend this service to anyone who wants a little pampering on the beach , with an awesome price!
