The Ghost and Murder tour was such a fun addition to our bachelorette party weekend! Steve was the best tour guide we could have asked for. He had great stories and added the right amount of humor for our group. Highly recommend this tour!

We like to go on ghost tours every time we travel, so I've been on a dozen or so; this one was definitely one of the best, if not THE best, that I've been on! Steve was funny, personable and a great storyteller. There was a good mix of historical stories about the dark history of the places visited and what ghostly activity people have experienced in recent years at those locations. Definitely worth it if you are visiting Salida or the surrounding areas!

What a fun evening learning about the history & haunts of Salida. Steve was funny, engaging and informative….despite a chilly, drizzly evening we were enraptured! Pretty sure I caught some orbs & interesting shadows in a few of my pics.

Crazy we just got back from our tour with Steve. While waiting on the bridge chit chatting with Steve, I took a few pictures of the river. On the tour Steve told us about green orbs that followed him. We haven't had any orbs in any other pictures we took here. We also took pictures of the other side of the bridge that Steve wasn't at and there were no orbs. This tour is full of details and awesome facts!

Great way to learn some Salida history

Unique way to learn some history about the town of Salida. Interesting stories and fun to learn the history of the different buildings. The next night we decided to have dinner in the old mortuary building because of the stories Steve told us.

Steve brings Salida history to life with deep knowledge of the town's history, adept story telling, and a connection to and care for the community. We are in Salida for several weeks, and the details my wife and I learned on the tour bring added layers of meaning and understanding to the history of the area and to the sights around town.

Steve was great! Ghost tours are one of my favorite things to do in new towns. The stories are fascinating to hear. My husband stood at the "portal" and later told me he felt warmer standing in that spot 🤷🏼‍♀️

We did the ghost and murder tour with DJ. The tour was great and DJ is a fantastic guide. I’m not a believer in ghosts but the tour is a fun way to learn a bit of Salida history and local legends while hearing some scary stories.

We Thoroughly enjoyed the Salida Ghost & Murder tour. Our guide Steve was so knowledgeable about the dark history of the town, he cracked a few jokes along the way to lessen the tension too. Every building seemed to have a history to it. At the end of the tour we were glad to get out of town Ha Ha. If staying in Salida we 100% recommend this walking tour & Steve was a great guide too.

Steve is very knowledgeable and keeps the tour lighthearted and fun. He also knows all the best spots in town and is happy to suggest food/drinks/bars. The tour itself was interesting, it was an easy walk, and I found myself surprised by how much history the town of Salida has. Maybe you will even see a ghost! Thanks Steve!

Steve was great! So much enthusiasm and extremely knowledgeable . It was a fun experience, good for the family. The community was amazing with the tour between getting hot chocolate after business hours and letting us come into the shop for a quick warm up it was a memorable experience. Would definitely recommend!

Steve was great! My husband and I really enjoyed our tour. There was a ton of great information and it was fun to learn all sorts of little secrets about Salida. Not tons of walking, if that is something you are concerned about! I’ve already started noticing little tributes throughout the town to pieces of their history that I never would have noticed without the tour. Thanks Steve and team!

DJ was a great guide on the Ghost and Murder tour in Salida. My kids (11 and 13) loved all the stories and were still talking about the tour the next day and how much they liked DJ. It was fun to learn some history about many of the buildings we have visited in the past. We will certainly never look at them the same way again!

It was fun and something different. It was a cold, windy, and snowy night but our tour guide was sensitive to that and ensured we stood in places that would block the wind.

My partner and I went on the craft brew tour last weekend and we had an amazing time! Steve and Quinn were amazing! It was very informative and highly entertaining. I encourage anyone to check this tour out! Plus we even met some new friends as well. can't wait to explore the other tours.

Enjoyable experience with added the benefit of some Salida history and fun beer knowledge. Beer selections were great from the 2 businesses. It was a new tour and they are working out a few kinks but the final product will continue to improve. Recommended way to see and experience a portion of Salida.

We attended the BV Ghost and Murder Tour with DJ as our guide. We were not only impressed by her knowledge of the local history, but also her excellent storytelling. She also arrived early and led the tour despite the cold and our party of two being the only group to sign up that night.

Our church youth group scheduled a ghost/history tour and loved the experience. The teenagers and the adults were entertained and intrigued by the many stories of Salida’s downtown area. Even people in our group that had lived in Salida forever were surprised by some of the things they learned. We appreciate Salida Walking Tours kindness in working with us on a day and time that worked for our group as well. We highly recommend them!

Loved this tour! Very entertaining and educational-if you like history and spooky stories, this is right up your alley. Would definitely do it again in another town. Our guide was very good. In character and a great story teller. Big thumbs up!

We highly recommend the ghost tour! Steve was a wonderful story teller and we learned so much about all the colorful characters of Salida along with the wild ghost stories! Who knew that prostitution in Salida didn’t end until 1949! The hour and a half tour went by so fast and left us wanting more!

We booked this as a way to learn more history about Buena Vista and DJ did not disappoint! She's a great storyteller. Not only do you get to learn some history about a small town and its development into what you see today, but you learn in an exciting and engaging way. I can't wait to do the Salida walking tour next if it's anything like this one.

I signed up for the Cleora cemetery tour and was totally impressed with the research that was done and the way it was presented. My family has a history with the Cleora cemetery so I wanted to go just to see if the tour was historically correct and Steve was spot on! I highly recommend his tours
