The block and cylinder head were rebuilt within a few weeks and were returned to me clean enough to eat off of, easy to prep for paint. Very professional operation, I'd definitely use them again.

Looked for a solution for awhile. I bought an engine with a 6 month warranty. Eight months later, same issue with my 5.4 motor. Mechanics said- so sorry to hear about your misfortune. The motor was "used". You paid for installation. Well..., there I was. No motor, no van, no ability to go to work ( without borrowing something from someone). Did my homework. My mechanic company that I've been doing business with for near 10 years said they warranted the installation. Can't blame anyone but me. I let them- select the previous motor. This time, after researching, I found Promar. $1200 LESS than their 6 month guarantee. Promar has 3 YEAR UNLIMITED MILEAGE guarantee on my chosen motor. WAY above average. My company, HOME-AID HOME REPAIR offers Lifetime Guarantees on Craftsmanship. Promar is in the same category. We stand behind what we do for a living. I am a veteran, and I stand beside any made in the USA company. Nice to have a company that leaves their direct contact number, and real folks, that not only respond promptly, but do so- in person. Ordered the Engine and it arrived on time at the date they projected, shipping co. damaged the oil pump, I told Promar about it; the immediately sent another one at no cost. Engine is installed and purring like a kitten. Love the fact that you do not have to pay a core charge up front as the trust you to send your old one to them. I'm happy and would buy from them again.

I am 20 yr ASE certified Technician, I purchased a promar 5.3liter, M code engine, for my brothers Trailblazer EXT. My Brother brought it to me for a misfire diagnosis and after a compression test soon realized the #1 Lifter had collapsed and was causing Low compression and subsequently the misfire. The Engine from Promar was shipped very quickly and was packaged very professionally, I was very impressed with the Overall quality of the build and attention to detail, the only thing I have to complain about at all was the gasket set that was included with the engine,this was a joke, consisted of a water pump gasket and oil pickup tube and a few others not for my engine at all, as I stated earlier this is an M code engine and completely different than most 5.3 liter engines, which I believe could have been the reason I wasn’t happy with it, being a generalized kit. The job went well, Engine started right up, sounded fantastic and runs like a LS Engine should, great power and very smooth, although pay close attention to they’re recommendations for changing some of the factory defective part, such as the AFM solenoid pack and the Driver side valve cover, both which contributed to the collapsed Lifter on this particular engine, thanks to Promar for the excellent rebuild and ease of shipping and returns, kudos to a quality rebuild center. I want to Thank Kevin in the Sales Department for making a bullet proof engine. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the employees, I didn't have to use a warrantee because it never broke. It runs like a sewing machine, all new part and they did not try and cut corners with cheap after market part, they used the best parts they could get their hands on. I live in Arizona. I had dozens of rebuild shops to use. Why would I go all the way back to New Jersey to have someone rebuild my engine? I didn't want to do it a second time. The odds go way up if you use the best you can expect a positive results. Great Company, price was competitive and they paid the freight all the way out to Arizona. What could you ask more of such excellence in Service. Thank you. I sincerely appreciate your company.

I was a little hesitant of buying a motor off of ebay. But for the price difference of buying one that way and buying one locally was substantial. So I took a chance. They were a little slow to ship, but they explain that it takes up to 10 days under the shipping section. I just missed it somehow, and it was all of 10 days before they shipped it. I was using a friend of mine's rack to do the job on and so it sat there on his rack while I was waiting on the new motor. He was a little frustrated with me about that. When I received the motor, it was well packaged and looked like a brand new crate engine. It took about a day to transfer all of the parts over from the old motor to the new one. It took the better part of a day to get it installed. It fired right up and ran like a singer sewing machine. After it ran several minutes, I noticed no coolant was circulating. Changed the thermostat thinking I had got a defective one. No dice! So I was starting to think that the water pump that came on the new motor was defective. I came home late that night and sent a message through ebay explaining the problem. Well, somewhere through the course of the night. The coolant had disappeared from the reservoir. I topped it back off and started the car. After it warmed up, the coolant started circulating. Heat started working and everything seemed normal. Best I can figure, it just had a large air pocket in the coolant system that didn't want to let go. I've had it happen before but never had one that stubborn. About 10AM that morning, I got a call from Promar's tech support. THIS is the way customer service should be! The motor has a couple thousand on it now and it still runs like a singer sewing machine. No leaks, no problems. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I haven't had to deal with any warranty issues yet. But they seem like the type of folks that would go above and beyond to take care of any problems. So, in summary, I would say that if you're not in a huge rush to get a motor. I would not hesitate to buy from Promar. I am planning on replacing the motor in my dodge service truck within the next couple of years. Promar will be the supplier of that motor! I will just make sure that I plan to do it in the winter time when things are slow for my business anyway. Thanks to Kevin and everyone @ Promar that put their hands on my motor. You guys did an awesome job, keep up the great work!
