I have not had the best of luck with doctors in the past, as I’m sure is true for most, but I cannot say enough incredible things about Dr. Becker and his staff. He was caring, listening, thorough, kind, and aggressive in his treatment to finally get me relief. The only “negative” thing I could say is I wish he was my doctor for everything else too :)

First time visit to this office and it was outstanding! Office staff and nursing staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Dr Sterling made me feel comfortable right at the get go and took time to not only explain my problem but to show me the area on my CT scan that he was talking about. For the first time I fully understood the problem and the plan he presented. I left there feeling confident in both his expertise and in my getting well. Last and by far not least, I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time!

Back in January 2025, I had a severe ear infection and this office was able to get me in immediately, which was incredible! The entire staff, including the physician, were very kind, they made the visit a very easy experience, and they took their time. I just had a follow up and once again the entire staff and the experience were great! I would definitely recommend this office.

Influenza A turned into strep throat which turned into fluid in my ear from a middle ear infection which completely clogged my left ear. Dr. Sterling performed a procedure to remove the fluid from my ear, and it has been a success. He is an extremely knowledgeable doctor, and his dry wit will make you grin or chuckle, guaranteed. I'm glad that I can hear now, and I expect it to get better as my eardrum heals. Also, I can't thank Ms. Paris Atabek enough for her professionalism and amazing attitude during my hearing test, she just may be the most upbeat person I had the pleasure to deal with in a while, just delightful. Everyone at the Sewell office are absolutely top-notch professionals. Thank you all.

Dr. Patel and the staff at the Mullica Hill facility are very friendly. There was minimal wait time to see Dr. Patel. The appointment ran on time. Very easy booking my next appointments with the front staff member.

I am riding home now from my appointment with Dr Elias Akl. Honestly, I found him by the Google AI when I searched for a Penn Medicine doctor who specializes in mast cell disorders. Not only does Dr Akl understand mast cell disorders (we talked mainly about MCAS), but he was able to explain his thinking and knowledge to me in a kind, soft spoken manner. He will not take any diagnosis away from what I have now. He adjusted and prescribed the scripts I needed to continue treatment. He also said he wants to keep an open mind in case there is more going on, not to have tunnel vision, especially if things get worse or medications stop helping (MCAS is a diagnosis that is vague in its symptoms and can easily be missed diagnosed, for me he thinks my issue is more with having HATS). So we have a plan and he is willing to do a video call next appointment so we won't have to do the drive into South Philadelphia. I am so thankful!
