Being new to the area and settling into a complete medical group, thus far both my wife and I have been very happy with PennMed. Dr. Frake of Becker ENT & Allergy is no different. Scheduling, lead up to new check-in for the appt was smooth and easy. Dr. Frake was pleasant, patient, gave me all the details related to my visit and laid out the follow up steps. I have had the most amazing experience here! Dr. Kara Silberthau is truly outstanding! She listened carefully to me, evaluated me thoroughly, offered full explanations for assorted services and treatments, respected my feelings, and was careful and calming while doing a procedure. When my symptoms suddenly changed, she made sure I was seen immediately by an audiologist (Amanda, who was also terrific!) and that I had a follow-up appointment with her right afterwards. She continues to answer my questions, and I am delighted to say that I am already improving, thanks to her quick and accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Perhaps most important to me throughout this somewhat startling turn of medical events, has been the patience and compassion with which I’ve been treated. Too many office staff, nurses, and doctors nowadays treat patients robotically or callously; each and every person with whom I have interacted at Becker ENT, however, has been wonderful.

I had scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kara Silberthau, MD. She was attentive, listened carefully to my symptoms, took her time to diagnose the issue that I was dealing with and then subscribed the appropriate medication and next steps.

During the two appointments, she was very pleasant to interact with, genuinely concerned about me as her patient and her advise helped me recover quickly.

Her staff members - The young lady at the reception and another young lady Neha were prompt and efficient. Overall, very responsive team unlike some experiences one has with some doctors where they are more interested in quickly getting you in and out the door in 10 minutes than really listening to their patient.

I had a great experience with Dr. Kara Silberthau. She is incredibly helpful, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen and understand your concerns. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and wants the best for them. On top of that, she’s a super nice person who makes you feel comfortable right away. I always leave appointments feeling confident and well taken care of. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.

I went to Dr. Mignone for a septoplasty and turbinate reduction. Hes knowledgeable, thorough, provided clear explanations, and genuinely seems to care. Im still in the healing phase but Im breathing a lot better than before. I highly recommend Dr. Mignone if youre looking for a competent ENT.
