Jay replaced the heat exchangers, in our furnace, under warrantee, on our Carrier Infinity furnace, after Reliance wanted to replace the furnace! After reviewing my original warranty I noted that these parts were covered under warrantee and called Carrier in the states. They said to call one of their authorized repair companies and I call High Efficiency who agreed to order and install the new heat exchangers. While replacing the parts, Jay, the technician noted that the exhaust motor was making a strange noise and door switch needed to be replaced and recommended it be done before the warrantee ran out in a couple of months. He came back with the parts and replaced them quite reasonably. The heat exchangers took several hours for two men and they charged a reasonable $500 then on the second trip $200 to replace the motor and switch. Jay, the technician was very friendly and helpful and I’d recommend High Efficiency Cooling in Heating if you need any work done on your HVAC equipment.

Recently used this company for annual furnace maintenance. Service was punctual and technician was knowledgeable and honest. Also had them install new furnace and hot water tank ~2 years ago. They specialize in carrier units and easily offered the best price based on 3 other quotes I had at the time. They are honest in that they sized my unit accurately for my home and they DO NOT oversell (trying to sell more efficient units). Install went well and they follow codes and regulations to the letter because my install was difficult given a tight space in a typical Toronto basement. His top senior Man installers came in to install my new furnace and air condition with perfection came in clean and left the job clean. Our not so old Carrier AC malfunctioned on one of the hottest days of the year. We called and was told a tech would come out within a few hours the same day. To our surprise, they called within an hour to say a tech would arrive within 15 minutes. Jason arrived, very professional and knowledgeable. I selected High Efficiency for my furnace and a/c initially over 6 other quotes because their price was the fairest and the salesperson (Rick) the most knowledgeable and upfront honest. He discouraged me from overspending on items or upgrades with marginal value and also offered assistance in helping me participate in the government / Enbridge available rebates. I have had business with this company since 2009; when I was still living in my cute little townhouse, the company helped me to change my old furnace to the high efficiency Carrier furnace. Due to the structure of my basement, their experienced technician spent almost 7 hours to finish their work, and I have to say that they did really nice work. After installation, my little townhouse was very warm and saved a lot of energy, and of course money due to their efficient equipment. Since this experience with them, I have chosen them again to install a new furnace in 2014 for my new house, of course, they didn't let me down either.Their well trained technician offered quality work. This year in 2018, I was lucky to have them again :), my husband forgot to change the airconditioner filter regularly and caused the board of my furnance to become broken. I called the company, and they sent a technician early the next day and found out the problems.
