Everything from checking in to waking up to a hot breakfast was wonderful . Customer service when we checked in was pick and easy . We booked one of the rooms with a jacuzzi. The entire room was immaculate . The beds were extremely comfortable . Place was located conveniently for anyones needs . Food and alcohol wit-him walking distance . It was definitely a delightful stay . So THANK YOU to everyone at the Comfort Inn for making our stay so pleasant. I would definitely go back and i will recommend to all my family and friends .

This is a solid location. I stay in a lot of hotels so the price and the location are a dream. Next to a freeway entrance, on a restaurant row, big department stores walking distance. And the hotel has decent staff and clean rooms and I’m not broke from staying there. Perfect.

Location is perfect, customer service was amazing. Breakfast was ok but the small area was extremely hot. Linen was all clean. Baseboards need cleaning and their tub reglazer sucks because they didn’t sand and prep properly. Overall I would definitely stay here again. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful.

We were on the way to Joshua Tree National Park so just spent a night here as it is about 30 minutes from the San Diego airport and right off the highway. It is located by multiple fast-food places, and its right next door to In-N-Out Burger (which is a big deal for us since there are none where we live). There is also a shopping mall across the street that includes Target. As for the room itself, it was decent, but my daughter noticed some ants by the window. It was a little annoying, but there were not a ton of them and since we didn’t see them anywhere else in the room, it didn’t impact our stay. The bathroom is a little small as well. My daughter loves to swim so we tried the outdoor pool and despite the warm weather, it was freezing and while she is used to cold hotel pools, even this was too cold for her and instead we used the hot tub. For the breakfast area, it looks like they just converted a couple of existing rooms. My expectations were low but was pleasantly surprised it was comparable to what you would get at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. When we left, we mentioned the ants and the person behind the desk which I think is the manager, kept asking us to make sure to give them a good review, and we later got two text messages as well, so they went overboard there. Overall, if we were back in the area and needed a short stay, we would come back.

The people are nice. The breakfasts are very good. The beds are comfortable. The hotel could use a good cleaning. There are lots of spider webs in the stairwells and other places. The bath tubs were painted instead of replaced and the paint is peeling. The carpet was bad in the rooms, and the bathrooms and bedrooms need a deep cleaning. There is a lot of built up grunge. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants, shops, and the transit station. Coffee, tea, and cold water in the lobby was appreciated.

The breakfast and service were very good. They came and got us fresh towels and did our room service everyday. Only complaint was the shower. We went to give our girls a bath, but all of the excess paint flaked off and was in the bath water. They painted over the fiberglass shower insert. I understand its an older building, but this was a detail i wanted to note. Otherwise it was a good stay located next to lots of amenities.

We stayed here last year, and everyone from desk clerk to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. We returned this year because of that experience. This year, we noticed the facility more because our stay was longer (4 nights). The location is right off Interstate 15, which is convenient, except that you can sometimes hear the traffic from the hotel (if you are closer to that side and balcony door is open). There is an In-and-Out burger joint next door which can get busy.. You could end up hearing running engine noise as we did. There are shopping and dining establishments close by, some within walking distance. Check-in was a little slow, but accommodating. Check out was quick and simple. The hotel overall is older, and is showing wear in the carpeting, wallpaper, walls, and guestrooms. My husband and I stayed in a 2-queen guestroom, slept in one bed for three nights and the other bed the last night. The mattresses on both beds did not have much support, so if you prefer a firmer mattress like we do, these are much softer, and include a pillow top. The outlets, lamps, A/C, TV, and mini refrigerator all work well in the room. The ironing board cover was stained, so we borrowed the one in our friend's room across the hall. The bathroom has nice lighting, mirror, magnifying mirror and rain shower head. It was stocked well. The shower curtain would not stay closed across the length of the tub (apparently due to faulty curtain rod installation), so the otherwise pleasant shower was troubled by trying to keep water from spraying outside on the floor. The exhaust fan was sub-par. The age of the bathroom and guestroom is primarily evident in the flooring. Otherwise clean. A nice, small gesture is the basket of snacks in the room upon arrival. We did not use the single-serve coffee maker. The gym has a few pieces of equipment which we couldn't figure out how to operate without creating an account and syncing it to the treadmill, elliptical, or stationary bicycle. There are no free weights, and just one adjustable weight cable unit. It was not stocked well - no towels and no cleaning wipes to be found. There were some average options for breakfast, including whole fruit, yogurt, cut fruit, cereals, waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. An overall okay place to stay, if you are just wanting an affordable, convenient, friendly and mostly clean location for sleeping. We will probably not return to this location on our next visit to Escondido, mainly because of the bed being too soft for our preference.
