The best experience we have had with a wound care clinic. From the minute we walked in the doors the treatment we received exceeded all of our expectations. The entire staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly and explained all details of my care. Once I was “released” from care it felt as though we were saying goodbye to family after a long overdue visit. Highly recommend.

In need of serious help with multiple wounds following surgery outside of AZ, where it’s extremely difficult to return for aftercare in my condition.
I received the most compassionate, attentive, careful, diligent care from Nurse Practitioner, Janette. She tended to me for a great deal of time and with incredible Thoughtfulness, and I’m hopeful that I’ll finally be able to heal.
It’s been more than ten years since I have been treated so well by any healthcare worker in any practice or facility (with exception of my PCP who referred me to Advanced Wound Institute, with his highest recommendation).
Highly recommend this rare and unusually exceptional NP and practice.

I was referred to AWI by my PCP due to a wound on my leg that hadn't healed 2 mos after receiving it .
From my initial contact with them it was clear they were different than a typical medical office. The staff was friendly and fostered an atmosphere of concern and confidence that healing my wound was their primary objective. Everyone is very professional and super nice.
After hearing the origin of my wound and what I had done in my efforts to get it to heal, they assessed it through a thorough inspection.
Kelsey then explained the specifics of the type of wound I had and why previous attempts at healing were not working and then laid out a plan that would put me on the path to healing it .
By my 2nd appointment a week later, I saw significant improvement in the wound.
I'm impressed with the care I've received thus far and am excited about the progress made in such a short time and I'm confident my wound will be fully healed in a couple of weeks.

I just had my first appointment with the wound care there at Advanced Wound Institute the receptionist Alyssa was very helpful and very kind along with all the nursing staff and doctors. I felt really at home my very first visit along with a great staff that takes the time to listen to you and genuinely cares. Our thanks to the entire staff. Looking forward to my next appointment next week!!!

After seeing a dermatologist for over a year and seeing the treatments weren't working, I decided to give the wound institute a try. So far, it looks promising; they've done more in one hour for me that the dermatologist has. I am still healing, but this office has been reassuring in trying to heal my wound that has been painful for a while now. Instead of just slapping on some ointment and saying I'll heal naturally, the wound institute actually took the time to check what's going on and they actually had to do some minor surgery in order for the wound to actually start healing properly. These guys seem to know they're stuff. They are very professional and knowledgeable.

I was VERY pleased right away with the front desk receptionist at the Gilbert location, she handled my rather desperate call from Mexico about my referral with great concern and kindness. My first visit here was nothing but positive. The office is easy to find and all the staff there was so wonderful! Dr James Furlmann is an extremely caring, and kind person. Love Dr James…I’ve recently had so plastic surgery that had gotten infected and created a open wound on my surgical line. I’ve been to a couple places that only prescribed antibiotic or ointments. Doc James took the time to talk to me in a way I could understand and he eased my mind tremendously!!! So happy I went here for care.

So happy to have found Advanced Wound Institute and only complaint is that I didn’t know about them sooner! I injured my shin pretty bad on a failed box jump and it’s been 2.5 months of healing. Saw AWI last week and got a clearer picture of what my healing will look like and got answers I hadn’t found previously. I hope to not be injured and have to go back, but if so, no doubt I’ll be choosing AWI again! ❤️

My first visit, but not my last. They got me in quickly, especially as a new patient. I couldn't believe how easy they made the whole process.Much less administrative bs than the wound clinics at the local hospitals. Same high level of care with no waiting time for an appointment (relatively speaking).I tried to get an appointment at the hospital wound center where I've gone multiple times before, and was told it was a 3 week wait. When you're wounds are bad enough that you need to be in "wound care", 3-weeks can be an eternity.

Changed to advanced wound care from another wound care service because wasn’t satisfied with other service. After just one visit with Advanced Wound care I noticed more improvement with healing my wound. I have the impression that the other service wanted to amputate and was not interested in healing.

Terrific place to go for wound care! This is my 4th wound care Dr's. One visit and I know they can heal my ulcer after spending 2 hours with them. I am already feeling relief from the massive pain I have been suffering with for many years!!!

Dr Smith and staff helped me cure an open sore that was the size of a quarter still wet and 5 months old. In 3 weeks they had it closed up. I also had swelling of the feet and they got me something to deal with that. I am

She was treated like a Princess by everyone we came in contact with from the very first person to Khiva who was her Nurse yesterday on the final visit. I have been through a ordeal. It all started with a pedicure and turned into a 6 day stay at a hospital. Coming to this facility gave me relief I needed. They were understanding and knowledgeable . I highly recommend them.

The folk @ Advance Wound Institute “ROCK”. Awesome experience - everyone from front desk registration through nurses & wound care specialists friendly , smiling, understanding. They were consistently making sure I was comfortable throughout examination and treatment. They also took time to answer our questions and gave us multiple home treatment care ideas to help expedite healing process .
I see them weekly and truly look forward to these appointments

KELSY IS AMAZING. I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AND DECIDED TO TRY ADVANCED WOUND OUT. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I EVEN CRIED AND WAS CONSULED BY KELSY AND THE NURSE CRYSTAL. THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD WITH ANY DOCTOR AND NURSE. KELSY TAKES AS MUCH TIME AS NEEDED TO EXPLAIN THINGS AND ANSWER QUESTIONS. SO CARING AND GENTLE WITH THE WOUNDS.
