My time here at The Ohana was really amazing. I can't even put into words how thankful I am for the help I got there. It's not like a regular rehab; it's more like a big, supportive family.
The people who work there are super nice and really know their stuff. They helped me understand myself and showed me how to deal with my negative thinking. The therapy sessions were sometimes tough, but they made a huge difference. We had some of them outdoors and it was a healing place.
The treatment they gave me was top-notch. I met some awesome people in the program. The food is absolutely amazing. The chef’s are incredible. The adventures were wonderful as well. Horseback riding was something I always wanted to experience and they tied it into what I was learning which was very unique.

A wonderful place with invested and caring staff. Provided a unique treatment experience from a holistic view. I would highly recommend The Ohana if you are seeking a non institutional, effective and rare experience. Treatment is difficult, but they make it as comfortable as possible and more importantly, they offer real tools to succeed. I feel more ready than ever and am thriving.

The entire experience was far beyond what I expected. The staff provided a professional, safe and caring environment. Overall, the structure of the program from group sessions, individual therapy, holistic treatments, adventure days, and offsite meetings was noticeably well thought out. The medical staff were extremely professional and organized from start to finish. I gained the tools and skills necessary for me to continue a life clean from my addictions, with the confidence to do so. I can’t imagine another program that could even come close to what the Ohana has to offer.

This is an incredible facility. The Ohana is relatively new, and like all new facilities there are certain improvements to be made. A on site exercise/weight room is the only improvement I see that is needed. The owner is very invested and involved with the daily operations. He cares about the clients and their subsequent success. The staff is knowledgeable and caring. There are many perks as well that come with a stay here, i.e. personal chef for meals, outside adventure activities, swimming pool, hot tub, sound therapy, hula lessons, fitness center days. I highly recommend this facility. As always, you will get out of the program what you put into working your program.

The staff is very passionate and caring. It is a true healing center it beats the sterile typical treatment center and saved my life for it. As stressful as it can be going to treatment this place actually helped me to really learn about myself and also have some laughs along with the hard work. My experience there at the Ohana was priceless

I can’t even express how grateful I am for this place. I came here without hope and no longer wanting to live. This place, the staff, clients and experiences truly saved my life. With my family being from the islands getting to connect back to my roots was so special to me. The education of the Hawaiian culture, hula and rituals we did all over the island we’re so healing and connected me back to spirit. Mahalo nui loa to The Ohana for giving me my life back and reminding me who I am and what I have to live for.

I checked out of O’hana in mid June after spending 45 days. It’s been several months of great highs and bad lows. But, I do believe that I am still here and currently doing very well thanks to my time at O’hana, and how the tools they helped me build. My time there was first time in years I was able to experience my love of life without alcohol. The journey continues, but I wouldn’t be on it still today with my time in Kona with O’hana.

Man, where do I began to speak about The Ohana? First I would like to personally thank each and everyone at the Ohana, and I would like to name each of them out, because they played a huge part in getting me on my road to recovery. Michelle, Joseph, Laurna, Genesis, Lee, David, Allison, Coe, Dana , and last but not least Derwin. I personally thank you all for the support, encouragement, and the opportunity to learn to live a sober life. I came into the Ohana a lost individual, and I left there as a man that found his identity by doing deep work in discovering, uncovering, and discarding a lot of trauma. From the moment I got to the Ohana, I felt welcomed and surrounded by people who genuinely cared, and it made it easy to be open and honest. During my 60 day stay at the Ohana I learned the true meaning of family, and I created a bond with a group of people that will last a lifetime. This by far was the best choice I could have made for my recovery, and I will never forget this experience and where my recovery in life begin. Once you join the Ohana, its a life long thing and I take honor in now being an Alumni of the Ohana. Thank you Ohana!

My stay at the Ohana recovery center was a quick decision for which I will forever be grateful. From the welcoming, to the group therapy, to the adventures, to the bittersweet goodbye, this place met me where I started and helped me move forward on my path. I found myself entirely, as I felt I hadn't found my identity or maybe lost it along the way. The staff and the other clients at this center treated me with respect and kindness and showed me the practice of Ohana. I give the Ohana all the stars in the galaxy. Truly, thank you! The Ohana Addiction Treatment Center gave me the ability to look at my Complex Trauma as stepping stones to healing and not a death sentence. Drinking was a solution to silence the pain but once removed with the right coping skills learned at The Ohana I was able to conquer the lies, dark nights and false mindset created by trauma. The place is so healing and beneficial if you are willing to put in the hard work. This place is truly my Ohana. Mahalo to all the therapists, counselors, and employees at the Ohana. Best decision I have made for myself.
