St. Louis Radon was great from start to finish! We were admittedly uneducated about how to mitigate a clear radon problem in a property that already had a mitigation system in place. SLR was very flexible in the timing of setting the testing device, and then in getting us scheduled for technicians to come to evaluate the system once the high levels were determined and confirmed. When they arrived, they assessed the system very quickly and came up with a reasonable solution for us. They were friendly and took a great deal of patience in answering my questions, as well as suggesting solutions for now and for the future! Don't fall for the temptation to use another individual or company because of price or any other reason. It'll cost you more in the long run. Trust me! Choose St. Louis Radon first! You'll be very happy you did! I sure am!

Everyone was very responsive. Technicians were very knowledgeable and took the time to engage and answer our detailed questions, and explain how the system installation is designed, and how the system works. They were on time for each appointment and completed the work during the pre-scheduled amount of time. Our radon mitigation system was very affordably priced. The original installation was going good until the installer cut a electrical wire. Had to wait for an Electricion to repair the cut wire.
I was responsible for half the cost of the electrical work.
I was rescheduled to finish the installation. Finally the install was completed. The finished job looked good. Installers forgot to install the critter cap. Returned the following day to install and pickup the two radon meters. Randon meters read .07 which was below the original readings of 5.0
Overall I was satisfied with the installation.

Our two technicians called and arrived promptly on the scheduled day. Mike walked me through the entire process before they started and answered all of my questions. It took roughly 3 hours for my radon fan to be installed. They did an excellent job with the install. You can't even tell they disturbed the concrete to install the piping. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a radon unit.

John and Ben did a very good job installing the radon mitigation system. They were on time, courteous, and were done within 4 hours of arrival. John explained the process and gave us information regarding about how the system worked and that it should work even with the basement waterproofing that we had recently had done. I had previously purchased a radon monitor online and had been tracking the radon levels in our basement for 4 weeks prior to the installation so that I could determine if the mitigation had an impact. The device I purchased reflected the same levels that were found when we had a professional service do radon testing when we bought the home 2 months ago, so I believe that the monitor works as it should. Within 44 hours of turning on the fan, our level went from 16+ down to 1.01. So I believe that the mitigation is working as it should be. My only advise is to do a measurable amount of consideration about the location of the fan and size of fan. We decided on a larger fan due to the levels of radon that had been detected and due to the type of waterproofing that we had done. As it was, the fan was installed in the corner of the basement just outside of the master bedroom and the sound level is just a bit more than we expected. I now wonder if the pipe to the outside should have been done by drilling a hole in the foundation wall rather that the joist on top of the foundation wall (that is the way our sump pump is installed). My thought is that part of the sound might be due to vibration on wood rather than concrete. I recommend this business for your radon needs, but make sure you take these kinds of things into account before installation.

I was so pleased with the entire process of having our system installed. The installers showed up right on time and were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They worked diligently for over five hours to install the system and explained to me all the steps they were taking. They left an electronic radon test meter behind which was picked up a few days later. The results were far below the allowable levels which means the system is very effective. I highly recommend St. Louis Radon!

Once the system was installed my radon levels dropped to near zero and pretty much stay there. I bought my own monitor and have been checking it daily for a couple of months. Quick response to e-mails, schedule was 4-6 weeks out but not unexpected. The installer showed up on time and talked about the process and how the install will go then got to work. He did a decent job, mostly cleaned up after himself, and then went through the information needed to ensure the system is running. The testing after install showed almost no radon and before mitigation it was 4 times the recommended level. I am happy with the installation and service!
