The motor seems to run great. Interaction with sales was ok but the engine was delivered with gaskets and some sheet metal I was not expecting so I had to return some of the parts I had purchased.
My only call to tech support was quickly answered.

I received my 4.6 Northstar Engine in July of 2023. Unfortunately the installation into my 96 Eldorado was delayed due to illness. When I fully recovered the installation went well but I had to repair some electrical wiring gremlins that took some time to diagnose and repair.
I must say I was very happy to see the quality of the work on the Promar rebuilt Northstar Engine and the care taken to insure it arrived in beautiful condition . It is now running and purring quietly under the hood of my Eldorado. Thanks again for your patience and excellent product. A special tip of the hat to the fine technicians who rebuilt this engine!

5.4 3v. Ordered this engine for my 04 F150 Custom Truck. Had it Comp Cammed & Tuned straight out the box! So far so good. Engine thumps like none other!! Just completed my 500 mile oil change. I replaced the engine in my 1999 Ford F 150 lightning. The price was very good. My engine installer ran into a few problems but he worked it out with Promar. Car runs like new. Less than 1000 miles now so will get an oil change soon. Just a word of caution when installing a shortblock, you may be reusing your older parts on the installation and these may fail. Happened to me with the starter motor, but that was my own fault. Recommend you to use their services whole heartedly.

I had an excellent experience working with Promar Engines. They were very helpful and went thru the entire process they use when rebuilding the engine for my 2013 5.0 F150. I opted to get all new valves because 11-13 model years had valve material issues and that was very reasonably priced. They used all new timing components but I wish I had specified they use oem Ford parts for that. My mistake, but so far no issues, but only time will tell if I have a phaser failure later on. I have 2000 miles on the new engine now and it is much stronger than the old worn out engine. My only complaint is it get 1 mpg less than the original. When I ordered the engine they said it would ship in 3-4 weeks. They totally exceeded that and had it out the door in exactly 2 weeks. For the installation I took it to my local Lincoln dealer as they only had 1 week lead time on appointments. I purchased all new sensors and water pump and associated components along with new plugs and coil packs, and new vct solenoids and various other parts to complete the engine build as Promar only supplies a long block. The dealer swapped out the engine by removing the entire cab of the truck. Then shipped out the core so that my warranty would be activated. You only have 30 days to return the core or your warranty will be void. That is a reasonable amount of time. Overall I'm very pleased with the experience.

I had the Promar team rebuild a 289 engine for our 65 Ford Fairlane. I have no clue on this stuff. My body shop took the engine out and I brought it down to Promar . The owner actually took me on a mini tour of the shop and what they do. Very, very interesting. Seemed like chaos to me--but they know exactly what they are doing. got a jeep 3.8 remain engine from them. got a good deal on it. all worked good had no issue with anything. but had to reseal the timing cover after 1,500 miles. the gasket must of never sealed well. but wasn't any issue to me to fix. just didn't want to have to do to new engine that fast.

I purchased a custom build engine from Promar for my truck, knowing I'd be towing in the near future and was wanting a reliable engine package. I worked closely with Kevin C on getting just what items I needed for the build. Kevin was able to take a package deal that Promar offers and modify the bill of materials to fit my needs. I was always kept in the loop, and Kevin quickly responded to my inquiries with professionalism and candor. I never once felt like I was talking to a "used car salesman" nor did I ever feel that Promar was attempting to add unnecessary costs to my build.
The shipping and handling was as smooth as it could have been. The package came very securely crated and with all the RMA paperwork included. I simply put my core back into the crating and affixed their pre-printed label and called UPS Freight to pick it up. For all intents and purposes, Promar could have been a shop across town when considering how easy the shipping and handling was.
Finally, the engine runs so smoothly that I hardly know when it's running. I couldn't be happier and I know this engine is going to be low maintenance because of how smoothly it is running.

Looked for a solution for awhile. I bought an engine with a 6 month warranty. Eight months later, same issue with my 5.4 motor. Mechanics said- so sorry to hear about your misfortune. The motor was "used". You paid for installation. Well..., there I was. No motor, no van, no ability to go to work ( without borrowing something from someone).
Did my homework. My mechanic company that I've been doing business with for near 10 years said they warranted the installation.
Can't blame anyone but me. I let them- select the previous motor.
