The gym itself was great, great facilities, great machines all that. Fairly nice and accommodating staff. But I did EXPLICITLY ask the receptionist when i signed up for the day pass (which btw insane you have to give email, phone number and a picture of my photo ID FOR A DAY PASS) that I did not want to get emails from their business and she said she would not include me from their email list. In the end I did get spam mail from their business which is why I left a four star review.

I want to take a moment to appreciate the staff member who helped me quite a few times. Her name is Raman. She is patient, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer my questions. It’s great to see staff who genuinely care about members and create such a positive, welcoming environment.

It was a decent place to workout, some machines need to upgrade for sure.

I like the gym. It has clean washrooms clean workout areas and a lot of machines. However there are missing dumbells, no powerlifting/power bar and wires for machines dont get replaced/serviced often which makes it awkward to use that equipment because of additional friction. Also would be helpful to have so bench press racks with safety handles on them.

I’ve been going to this Shapes location since summer 2024 and absolutely love it! I have a 6 year old and a 3 month old and the childcare is reliable and both my children are happy when I pick them up. If childcare gets cancelled the gym is very quick to contact me before my usual workout time to let me know. Melissa at the front desk has become a great friend, always greets everyone with a smile and is quick to help whenever there are issues at the gym. My only complaint is that I wish they would replace the bulbs in the tanning bed as they don’t seem like they’ve been done in a while but other than that I love it here!

It’s a really chill gym where everyone kinda just minds their own business. The energy of the space makes me feel comfortable enough to try new workouts without the fear of judgement.

Decent gym, relatively clean, nice changerooms, newer machines. My biggest issues are the front staff who are reluctant to help me every time i go. I buy a week pass every once in awhile and its always a big hassle because the girl who is usually working always doesnt know this or that, or doesnt have the power to do this etc... The mcphillips location is light years better in terms of staff and equipment. Also, organize the dumbells ffs

I came for a drop in from Edmonton. I was charged $20 for a drop in which seems a little much on its own. The machines and facility itself are a little dated. The bathroom wasn’t super clean. Other than that everything was alright. Got my workout in and left
