I received physical therapy from August through November 2022. I had 3 therapists helping me: Kristin E., Amy W. and Allyssa V.. All 3 worked to repair my left rotator cuff with multiple tears after my repair surgery on July 20th… The service was excellent from all 3 therapists. I highly recommend Active Physical Therapy.

After an incredibly rough start with the healing process, Elizabeth and Allyssa gave it their all. They pushed me and encouraged me EVERY step of the way. I think by the time I completed my therapy, every employee there played a part in my recovery. Whether it was sharing different exercises that would help, shouting encouragement across the room, or the cheerful greetings every time I walked in the front door. I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff at Active Physical Therapy in Ishpeming. Kristin Eden was my primary therapist and I saw Amy and Allyssa as well. What seemed like a never ending process with an injury I never dreamt would become as complex, their care and the changes that took place within my body turned out to a blessing and I’m better for what I thought was a loss of time. Retuning to waitressing after a few weeks, I found the tasks to be easier than ever before! I was so pleased to start up again feeling so strong!! Kristin was so compassionate and encouraging in considering my goals and all aspects of what was causing my pain. I was glad to reach the point to exit the program and I was sent with great aftercare exercises but, I miss seeing all the friendly people and staff! I would not hesitate to send anyone their way!

I came into therapy here at Active with very limited movement in my left hand n severe nerve pain in left shoulder and my hand. I wasn’t able to lift anything heavy, had major trouble tying my shoelaces and washing my silverware. The experience I’ve had here has been amazing. The ladies I had the pleasure of working with have gotten me back to a point where I can tie my shoes, wash my silverware, and have decreased the pain to a manageable level. I now have limited pain in my shoulder and strength in my back. I have been able to lift things I haven’t been able to lift in two years. The women I worked with pushed me when I wanted to give up, and we enjoyed laughing every week. This therapy business has been the best place I’ve been. Please consider Active Physical Therapy as your place for much needed help. You won’t be disappointed.

I had a total knee replacement on April 1st. On the first day of physical therapy, I came in with a walker. I finished therapy today, June 5th. The whole staff was so wonderful!!!! I would highly recommend Active Physical Therapy (Ishpeming) to everyone!!!! Thank you so much!

My first experience at Active was in February 2018 after hurting my shoulder at work. During the past 4 years I had the opportunity to use their services after 3 different surgeries. Everyone that I’ve had as a therapist was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy to call them. There support staff is also top notch. Everyone works as a team.

Have been doing therapy with Active since high school and the service is still just as great! After a shoulder injury and not being able to do daily activities like normal I started again and after working with Megan for a couple months I can finally do everything without a constant pain in my shoulder! Active physical therapy has given me the tools to use with my workouts on my own to make sure that I can avoid another injury. If I do happen to get injured again and need more physical therapy, there is no place I’d rather go!

From the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave, you are treated with a hometown friendliness. The front desk will greet you warmly and the therapists always have a smile when they call you back. They clean every piece of equipment and machines between uses. There is a hand sanitizing station as well. I have gone to a few different places for Physical Therapy, and this is the place I recommend the most!

I can't say enough about how helpful, knowledgeable and friendly the therapists and staff are at Active! Beyond the PT during my appointment my physical therapist gave me work to do at home so I'm able to continue and prevent any trouble down the road. I had a great experience at Active Physical Therapy in Ishpeming. After having a total knee replacement I also developed back issues. The therapy and care I received from Pam and Kristen was outstanding! They made many accommodations to help my knee that wouldn’t aggravate my back.
