He responded quickly and was able to come to the house and maintenance and repair our solar system and was reasonably priced and very professional. We're glad we found someone in our area to keep our solar system running well.

HomeAdvisorRobert Olan, the owner and manager of Green City Solar, LLC, is a skilled electrician and a Solar energy specialist. I would recommend him for any electrical or solar energy problem. He is a professional that knows what he’s doing. For more than 2 years, the breakers for my solar energy system, continued to trip. This breaker problem resulted in communication breakdowns with the system’s micro inverters. It also disrupted the system’s energy production. For more than 800 days I was required to reset the system when the breakers tripped, sometimes several times a day. This breaker problem began from the minute the system was first energized. The company that installed the system, Complete Solar, was aware of the problem, but never made an effort to fix it. Mr. Olan is my hero. In less than an hour, he discovered the problem & fixed it. I no longer have to reset the system, & it is a big weight off my shoulders. The feeling is magical. I still can’t believe I don’t need to reset it.

I contacted them first week of July a work order was created, the installation company refused to come out. This is now September. I called his company he came out the next day and fixed my leaking from the solar panels that were improperly installed. Thank you sir I can sleep with ease tonight.
GoogleRobert, of Green City Solar, does awesome work on Solar Water Heaters. I recommend him and I will be using his service in the future. Here's why... My original solar water heater was installed by SunTec, which closed over a year ago. They recommended a couple solar businesses in Fort Myers. I contacted Advance Solar in 2024 to service my Steca Solar Water Heater, which was completed with no problems. A year later, I contacted Advance Solar to replace my 80 gallon solar water tank and expansion tank. Three techs showed up to install the new 80 gal. tank. But, the techs resoldered my circulation pump & check valve incorrectly to the solar in and solar out lines; the soldering work was extremely poor (I have pictures). When I saw the techs switching the circ. pump & check valve, I asked why and I was told because the tank is different than the original, and it doesn't matter if the circ. pump sends to the solar in or solar out at the rooftop solar collector. Within a few weeks, my circ. pump had a electrical short, which caused it to fail and since it was plugged into the Steca control module, that too failed. I contacted Advance Solar and it took about 2 months of emails and phone calls only to be told they do not work on "Steca" solar systems and if I want them to repair my circ. pump & check valve I would need to switch my "Steca" system to the Gold Line system (which of course costs more). I was even told by a manager that he tried finding me a solar company that worked on Steca and he couldn't find any. Robert of Green City Solar took me two phone calls to find. Robert replaced my circ. pump & check valve (as orginally installed), which also required swapping the dip tubes (something the other techs should have done when they replaced my water tank). Robert also replaced my Steca control module, and removed the poorly soldered pipes and soldered new pipe to make the job look professional. Green City Solar cost less than what Advance Solar tried to charge me to switch systems. Included are the following pictures: 1. Original installation (which has a silver expansion tank atop the 80 gal. water tank). 2. Advance Solar installation of new Lockinvar water tank and how they reversed the circ. pump and check valve (notice the hot and cold are reversed from the original install). 3. Green City Solar installation of new circ. pump, check valve, Steca control module, and other fittings.

GoogleRobert Olan reacted fast and analyzed the problem with our secondary battery backup. He communicated effectively with SolarEdge and LG Residential to get them to execute the required warranty actions. When there technician had problems to reset the system the right way, Robert got involved and got it done. I can highly recommend Green City Solar for their competence and service.

Green City Solar was also timely on scheduling and installing the solar panels. The estimate for the number of panels based on my electricity usage for the past year was spot on. Since the panels coming up my electric bill as been $25.99 a month, which is just the meter and service fees-no electricity! I highly recommend ****** and Green City Solar.
HomeAdvisorWe have had our solar system and backup battery from GreenCitySolar for over two years now. It has performed really well, and for about 8 months out of the year, we only pay the minimum to our electric company for having service. Customer service has been outstanding, and in fact when our backup battery was delayed due to supply chain issues, Robert moved us up on his schedule to install a few days before Ian hit. The system performed really well the week that power was out in the area, and we were able to run everything except the A/C during that period.
