I called Delmar for a second opinion since the unit was turned off to avoid damage to the compressor and it was 85 degrees outside(i.e. hot inside and outside house) . John determined a new capacitor could be installed so we could have AC until the motor could be replaced, without damage to the compressor. John also checked the unit upstairs and said everything looked good. I was just so happy with an interim solution that worked, confirmation that the compressor was fine, capacitor was on available in his truck and very reasonable prices.
