The inspector - Kevin - came to assess the mold issue found in the basement of an 8 year old townhouse. Kevin viewed each area of the basement-which was cleared of all items against the walls. As he carefully looked for any evidence of the spread of mold he explained what he was doing and what he determined pertaining to the assessment. At first I was concerned that the mold was significant (but since I am highly allergic to mold I was surprised I had not encountered symptoms while exercising down in the basement) but Kevin assured me that the mold was only located along drywall seams and at the bottom of the drywalls indicating that the mold could be easily treated. Because of his explanation, as well as the assessment made throughout the basement while showing me those areas that were clear and those with mold, I was put at ease. I truly appreciated Kevin's approach, with explanation and demonstration, as well as his thorough explanation and means to address the remediation.

I liked working with Kevin and his assistant. He was very professional and overall very knowledgable and well prepared. Despite the years of experience, is important to not rush the work and to catch some of the little things like making sure outlets are in order, and that the rooms comply with the legal size of a bedroom. Also, taking their time and really confirmed if a drainage is missing or if its just clogged. As an investor, these are things that are very important to call out for the purpose of negotiation.
