I hired Smith & White in 2016. They were no nonsense, very direct, and answered every question I had without being condescending. They always got right back to me when I left a message. Their advice was spot on with what I should do to get through my issues with the court. Together we were ahead of what the court asked me to do and at my last hearing the judge thanked me for not giving the court any grief and congratulated me on my progress. If I ever have any issues in the future I won't hesitate to get ahold of Smith & White to help me out.

In 2015 Derek Smith represented me in a trial, I was ultimately found to be not guilty. Throughout the course of the court proceedings he gave me compassionate counsel, during a time where I felt unheard by so many Mr.Smith restored my faith in humanity. As a black man I felt he understood the complex issues we face when dealing with race in America and especially in the criminal justice system, which many of us face even when seeking legal counsel. Mr. Smith is certainly one of the best lawyers in Washington State, it was clear to me he has a deep compassion for people and justice.

I highly recommend this firm to help with any legal help you may need they absolutely go above and beyond to give you the best service possible and get you the best outcome. They helped me get my rights reinstated with no issue and no foot work for me and when I was denied my CPL. I reached out to them to see why and what I needed to do to next to where I could get my CPL and Derek went right back to work and got that straightened out in no time at all. I now have my hunting license and my concealed carry. I can now teach my kids proper gun safety, protect my family and start making more memories all thanks to everyone at The Law Offices of Smith & White.
