I first visited Dr. Jon for low back pain, and after just a few weeks, I felt a significant relief. Within two months, I was completely pain-free. Recently, I began seeing Dr. Jon for upper cervical adjustments following extensive dental work, including the extraction of an old root canal. This surgery caused TMJ symptoms, dizziness, neck tension, headaches, and even severe acne along my neck and jawline. I did not believe in chiropractors 2 years ago. Dr. Jim Sweeney was recommended to me by my wife. I went in skeptical and thinking this is a waste of our money. Dr. Jim Sweeney gave me an adjustment and for the first time in over 20 years I could turn my neck farther, I can bend over deeper and I can actually sleep throughout the night without waking up hurting. It’s been 2 years since I saw Dr. Jim Sweeney for the first time and it’s changed my life. Over the past 2 years I see him once or twice a week every week. I missed 1 week about a year ago and I wasn’t as mobile as I had been. I don’t miss anymore, his decompression has kept me from having back surgeries, his therapy table relaxes and stimulates my muscles and his adjustments have kept me from going into surgery. I came in with severe back pain a year ago. It was hurting to sit or stand for long periods of time and I had an international trip coming up that I didn’t want to be in pain for. Dr. Jim diagnosed the issue, and was able to start a treatment plan THAT day. Within a month, I was virtually pain free, able to go on a two week long trip to Ireland with no discomfort on the plane, and had no major pain the entire time on the trip. I now go once a month to maintain the healing we’ve done and it’s a doctor appointment I actually look forward to! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the past three years. Dr. Jim and Dr. Jon not only encouraged me to pursue chiropractic school, but also took the time to explain the reasoning behind the various therapies we use depending on the patient’s injury.
The entire staff has been incredibly supportive as I was taking courses toward my Chiropractic Assistant License, ensuring I was fully prepared for my exams. This sense of care extends far beyond the office—it’s become a genuine bond, where conversations with their families are a regular part of our day. Walking through our doors feels like joining a family.
As a team member, we’ve always been given the personal time we needed, whether for medical appointments, personal matters, or unexpected scheduling conflicts like therapy, mediation, or custody hearings—always without judgment or hesitation. This workplace has been a rare combination of professionalism, compassion, and true community, and I’m grateful to have been part of it.
When it comes to our patients we see such a vast array of patient and more often than not save them from costly surgeries (that will typically lead into more surgeries down the road) We ensure our patients are well taken care of and fully informed as to what it is that is going on with them so they understand why therapies and treatments such as dry needling, electrical stimulation, massage beds, decompression, and manual adjustment are so important.
I still have a year before I leave for school, but I owe a huge thank you, Dr. Jim, Dr. Jon, Mama Sweeney, Dani, Alex, Camila and Emily for keeping this such an amazing place to work.

I moved to Nashville from Colorado 7 years ago and had chiropractic care that I loved. Hadn’t found any one since being here, although it’d been passively on my mind. Not sure what happened or just a bunch of things over time but my back at some point just wasn’t having it. I got massages, I stretched, and nothing helped. My wife begged me to just find a well rated chiropractor close to our home and I found Sweeney. After the first adjustment I knew, I had found a path to a solution. After the second my pain was nearly gone. The adjustments have been efficient, their communication has been incredible, the scheduling has been easy and the staff has been kind. I used to have chronic headaches. I would have a headache 5-7 days out of the week, and I didn’t think anything would be able to cure it. I searched best chiropractor in Nashville, Sweeney Chiropractic came up, so I decided to give it a try. Spoiler alert: best decision I’ve ever made!
As soon as I walked into the office, I was greeted by the most friendly and kind staff. Dani, Alex, and Brandon are truly the best.
Dr. Sweeney is a one of a kind doctor. I have never been to a more knowledgeable, helpful, caring, and kind doctor in my life. From the first time I met him, Dr. Sweeney treated me like family. He knew exactly what was causing my headaches, he knew how to fix it, and he educated me on how to prevent them in the future.
My initial treatment plan consisted of a few weeks of frequent adjustments and therapy, as well as dry needling. After the first few sessions I noticed my headaches started to become less frequent, I also noticed that when I did get a headache, it was very mild.
Fast forward a few weeks - I no longer get headaches! I never thought that I would see the day where I don’t get headaches. It’s truly a miracle and it’s all thanks to Dr. Sweeney and his incredible staff.
I not only feel a million times better, but I am also more educated and aware of what my body is telling me because of Dr. Sweeney’s expertise, passion, and care for his patients.

As I get older, self care is so important. I am a nurse practitioner and in my mid 50's.
I suffered a left knee (UCL tear) about 4 months ago. Physical therapy was not helping, in fact, I had more pain and swelling after every visit. After 2.5 months of PT, I found Sweeney Chiropractic through a friend of mine, who is one of their long-standing clients.
After the FIRST visit, I gained some pain relief --first time in months! Prior to my initial visit, walking was painful. I had tried kinesiology taping, wraps and braces to help with the daily pain and fatigue in my knee. My knee is finally healing! After a month of treatments and adjustments, I am PAIN-FREE and on the road to full recovery!!
***I plan to continue my appointments in order to stay properly aligned and prevent pain and injury as my body gets older. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT for me to live a long, healthy, good quality of life.

I went from not being able to sit or walk from such excruciating pain, having shooting pains down my legs and hips when I sat, stood or sometimes even when laying down, and these angels brought me back to living life and moving without pain in only a few visits time. I was not sure what the issue was at first, so I came in and got an x-ray and it turned out I had a herniated disc in my lumbar area. We began decompression therapy immediately to start the process of relieving the stress off of my disc and strengthening around the vertebrae. I have several more visits to go before I’m able to go about my business as normal yet, but it has already made a night and day difference. And they really do mean it when they say they’re a family practice. I started seeing Dr. Jon Sweeney about a year and half ago after having debilitating lower back spasms as well as knots inside my shoulder blades. I've been going to Sweeny Chiropractic since 2016 and can't say enough good things about Dr. John and really the whole office! I had back issues for a long time before I first saw him from an old injury and it got much worse when I had my first baby and was carrying her around in her car seat, etc. He has kept me good to go through raising two young kids now and all the abuse that comes with that on your neck and back. He even fixed the tendonitis I have in my wrists and continues to keep it at bay. He truly cares about his patients and is the best at what he does. I've referred several friends to him that have been very happy with their experiences as well!

Dr. Jim Sweeney and his entire staff are amazing. I came to see him after an injury, barely able to walk from a slipped disk. His spinal decompression process got me back on my feet! Dr. Sweeney is the best and most knowledgeable chiropractor in middle Tennessee!

I recently bulged my disc and was in extreme pain. Dr. Jon immediately started me on spinal decompression therapy and I was pain free in just a few days of treatment. When you walk in to the clinic you are welcomed by friendly staff and even a sweet greeting from the family dog. After your treatment you could have the privilege of meeting Dr. Jon and Jim’s mother aka (momma Sweeney), who helps set you up on modalities. This place is a true family practice and they genuinely care about helping people. I appreciate how highly knowledgeable and skilled the chiropractors are and they keep up to date on their medical research. I am a physical therapist and I often refer patients to go to Sweeney Chiropractic. You are in goods hands with this place and can’t recommend them enough.

they are amazing!!! so glad to have found dr. jim. he has helped me so much with my headaches through my own personal treatment plan! he does adjustments, dry needling and, my favorite part, electro therapy. i noticed a difference with my headaches within the first couple of weeks! the rest of the staff is also super friendly and welcoming! i wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else!!

Sweeney Chiropractic is a very helpful and friendly place. I’ve been coming for quite some time now and feel so much pain relief in my neck. It’s very evident Dr. Sweeney has a lot of chiropractic knowledge and experience. Sweeney Chiropractic is a very welcoming and friendly environment. On my first visit I received an x-ray and my back was evaluated. I received a straightforward diagnosis and began treatment that day for a herniated disc. After a few weeks, my pain had decreased significantly. After a few months now, my pain has decreased by 80-90% and I’ve been able to start exercising again. I’ve also been sleeping much better as I currently have little, if any, noticeable pain while lying down. I would recommend Sweeney Chiropractic to anyone experiencing back pain.

Have a herniated disc from a fall on the stairs. Was scared I broke something from the pain I was experiencing but when I went into Sweeney Chiropractic they were able to help me day one. Now I’m an avid believer of decompression therapy and would recommend even if you don’t have a preexisting injury. I avoided having to have surgery and look forward to seeing the staff each week (which they all have wonderful personalities and always make me feel welcomed).

When I tell you that I’ve tried everything, I have. I had gone to physical therapy for months and seen different doctors and nothing helped. My first visit at Sweeney Chiropractic was more than I could’ve hoped for. We did a quick x-ray and immediately he gave me answers to why I was having chronic back pain. In the same visit Dr. Sweeney told me about everything they do at his office. They don’t just crack backs and send you home, they combine different types of therapies like dry needling. It has been the most efficient, effective and rewarding medical experiences I have had. The office is so welcoming and they treat you like family. I can’t believe I didn’t try this sooner. The office is so passionate about what they do and making sure their number one priority is getting you better. Truly the best!

I have been seeing Dr. Jim for over 5 years! I just go for overall health and well-being and couldn’t be happier! Dry needling, stem therapy and an adjustment always send me out the door feeling top notch. 10/10 recommend!

I finally decided to go to the chiropractor after literally years of saying “man i should go to the chiropractor one of these days” Now after going for about a month i see what i’ve been missing out on! Dr. Jim has been super thorough, and explains every he’s doing, as well as why he’s doing it and why it needs to be done. His personality is amazing, always energetic and happy, and he’s great to have a normal conversation with while you’re getting adjusted. With all that being said about a day and a half after my first visit, the pain i initially went in for went from almost unbalanced to nonexistent! 10/10 would recommend 👌🏼

I have been going to Sweeney for several years. Anytime I have an issue they are quick to figure out problem and come up with a solution. I recently had issues with a bulging disc and a foot that had little mobility which I now know is do to scar tissue of 3 years ago. I hadn't seen him in a while but they were all so welcoming and I was able to move foot with first visit. They are amazing I highly recommend. Plus the staff is the best!!!

Dr. Jim has been incredible. I came in with back and neck pain with terrible headaches, primarily from sitting in front of a computer all day for work, and he had me on a plan that relieved the pain and headaches after just a couple weeks. I’ve been seeing him now for a couple years, now just for maintenance visits, and haven’t had an issue with pain or headaches since.

Dr. Jim and all of his staff are great! I had a terrible experience with a chiropractor in the past so I was not one to want to go but my brother had highly recommended Sweeney Chiropractic because it’s more than just cracking bones and adjustments. They do it all in one office. Bones, muscles and good advice to keep you healthy. I am trying to avoid back surgery in my future and Dr. Jim has helped me tremendously! I definitely recommend Sweeney Chiropractic, you will not be disappointed!

I fell down the stairs in December and had been seeing my PCP for care of my ankle. I came in to visit Dr Sweeney and had dry needling done on my ankle and had relief that I hadn’t been able to achieve in over 9 months of care from my PCP.
