I can’t say enough good things about Lucas and his team. What a great experience! Unique for sure and they are so accommodating. Lucas will put you on the fish!! Doesn’t matter if you’ve been fishing once or a hundred times, they will make it happen for you. Great times and great memories!

Wow! Awesome!
Our group of 10 adults all family had a great day on the Saultry River. With side by sides and ATVs we enjoyably crossed rivers streams and beautiful terrain to reach an incredible Salmon River. Every one caught fish and there guides were extremely helpful and friendly.

Our guide Carly was awesome!! She was prompt, knowledgeable, and attentive. It was fun spending the day with her!!
We had a group of 4 grown men, it was a little tight traveling in the UTV but the CAN AM was a comfortable, capable machine. We saw Brown Bears and caught as many Reds as we wanted.
Very strong recommendation!

The day trip to Saltery Cove was just fantastic! From the views to the UTV ride to the great sockeye fishing, it was a wonderful day. Luke and Devon were very kind, patient, and helpful to our large group with varying amounts of fishing experience. I highly recommend this outfitter.

Luke and his team were great! The family has used his services a few times over the years, and his trips don't disappoint. I would highly consider using a camp adventure with Saltery for both our stream fishing, sightseeing, and ocean activities.

Saltery Adventures was amazing to work with. Our guide, Carley, was fantastic!!! A wonderful guide! So kind and so sweet! She interacted wonderfully with our 8-year old ☺️ almost like looking after a sibling 💜

The vehicle was incredible and Carley did awesome driving it. The scenery was spectacular as were the horses and seals we saw!

We were sad to not see any bears, however. I completely understand we were a little early in the season to see them in the rivers, etc. That being said, seeing Kodiak bears was the reason for this trip to Alaska, so we were a little sad about that.

Lunches were great and we had a wonderful picnic! We would recommend Saltery Adventures to others, and we would use them again when we make it back out to Kodiak.

Our trip to the Saltary was a true Alaskan adventure. We met our guide "T" at the trailhead and he took us 16 miles into the Kodiak bush on an old world war 2 trail that was filled with mudholes, washes, creekbeds, and brush up and over the American River drainage to the Saltery river. It was wild. While there my two sons and I caught our limit of Coho in an hour and a half. Unbelievable! T was very busy and kept us in fish all day long. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience Kodiak's remoteness and its excellent salmon fishing. Well done.....

We had 6 people in 2 side by sides. Our first attempt at the trip was a day of heavy rain and after we got about half way the guides made the call (with our agreement) to turn back because the rivers were still rising. I was relieved. When we went for our “makeup” tour a few days later we had an amazing day. T and Monty are not just capable drivers of challenging terrain but also great fishing guides. Everyone on our tour learned some new technique or skill in the process of catching our limit of beautiful silver salmon. I highly recommend this company and trip.

Our group had an amazing experience with the Saltery Adventures team. It is an adventure as soon as you leave the parking lot. Gorgeous trail ride right out of the gate. You feel like family from the jump. Luke is such a positive person it is infectious. The guides and food were epic. Trisha made sure we all gained weight over our 4 days. Fishing was crazy good and we saw 8 bears. Trip of a lifetime.

We took the full day ATV and fishing trip. Had a handful of adults and a handful of young kids 7-16. Guides were all great with getting the younger ones fishing. Incredible scenery on the ATV ride. Just fantastic views. Highlight of our Kodiak trip.

Excellent trip. It is a unique experience in a beautiful area. The fishing was good, guides were knowledgeable, staff so friendly (felt like part of the family) and the food was outstanding (and plenty of it). I would recommend this adventure especially to those seeking something a little different.

Properly named. The adventure starts with a 15 mile trail ride to the off-grid cabin. Along the trail ride you are certain to see deer, likely to see the wild horses that occupy the area, and subject to seeing a bear or two on the trip in. Once at the cabin, the guides gave an informative orientation of the property and introduced everyone to the cook, and other support staff. Each outing was also an adventure with bear sightings common (the staff always made everyone feel safe) lots of fishing instruction, and if you can break habits of what you know, and listen to the guided, you will catch lots of fish. My days with Saltery Adventures were filled with rain, and flooded streams, the guides adjusted fishing tactics and still put our group on fish. The food was phenomenal while there, the cook had to creative with supplies they had on hand because of the rain delaying resupply of ingredients. Not only was the food great, but there was plenty of it, if you were hungry, it was your own fault. There were also plenty of snacks available between meals or while out fishing. Be sure to have your phone charged when you head out on day one, take a charger and battery bank, and plan to take lots of pictures of the adventure. The trip I was on was a "guys trip", but this has now been added to my short list of family trips for my wife, and girls (10, and 12). Our group did not get to do any open water fishing because seas were too rough, maybe next time. Can't wait to get back out there.

The team at Saltery Adventures is fantastic! This was my first guided trip of any kind so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had the most amazing time. The guides were friendly and helped me immensely with my fishing, and were more excited than I was every time I'd catch a fish! The food was delicious and the accommodations were comfortable, and the conversations I had with my group and the Saltery folks were priceless. I felt welcomed into their family the whole time I was there. Hard to put into words how incredible the trip was, from the scenery, wildlife, trail rides, to the abundant fishing.

We recently went on a salmon fishing trip in Kodiak, Alaska with Saltery Adventures, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Our guides, Carly and Jessica, were professional, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time.

The ride out to the fishing spot was an adventure in itself, navigating through tough terrain that added to the excitement. The trip was a huge success—we caught our 6-person limit in just about 3 hours. The fishing was phenomenal! Been fishing my whole life and never experienced anything like that. Amazing!

From the day we booked to the end of the trip, Saltery Adventures provided excellent service and communication. Highly recommend this guide service for an unforgettable fishing experience!

Lucas and the Saltery Adventures team are top notch. Their passion for fishing and showing our group a good time comes through in all they do. They worked hard to get us on fish and between the salt water fishing and river fishing, our group brought in around 500 lbs of fish! Caught all 5 species of salmon, cod, rock fish, halibut and more. The surrounding area is unbelievably beautiful. We saw bears, mtn goat, wild horses, deer and bald eagles were everywhere. From the moment we arrived they treated us like family. The home cooked meals were amazing. I hope to return soon. Thanks again to Lucas and team for un unforgettable experience!

I had an amazing adventure with our awesome guide T. I had never fished in my life and highly doubted I would catch a fish. After a wild super fun adrenaline filled UTV ride out to the river, T taught my mom and I the basics of flyfishing. T was encouraging, knowledgeable about both fishing and the area, patient and explained everything super well. After less than 30 minutes my mom and I both caught our first salmon and T helped us learn how to reel them in. We ended up catching 8 salmon in just a few hours. After a morning of fishing we then went to check another fishing spot and find some bears. We drove up to the new spot and saw a Kodiak Bear right next to the river. It was magical. He ran away but later T took us to his usual spot and we were able to watch the bear eating from about 30 feet away. We finished the day with lunch on a remote beach and another awesome UTV ride back to the parking lot. I am pleased to say now that I would actually love to go fishing again...something I never expected to say. Overall, an incredible unforgettable Alaska experience. We will be back!

I can’t begin to explain how much fun the Saltery Adventures are! It was just the right combination of exploring rugged ATV trails in the remote parts of the island with fishing salmon in the rivers. We shared the day with a great guide and enjoyed a picnic lunch. Trust me, we’ll soon be coming back to do it again!

Was my first time with Saltery Doing river fishing for Salmon Usually, we take boat out fish in the ocean our guide Carly Was awesome very knowledgeable of the area and everything. The ride alone in the side-by-side up to the area was worth the experience. Catching fish was a bonus would recommend this to anybody great experience definitely booked for next year.

Our guides were very knowledgeable and were very kind.
We saw eagles, bears, wild horses and beautiful scenery.
