Dr. Patel was fantastic! For pre-op, surgery to post-op. He was very responsive to questions, friendly and I’m walking and running just fine so I guess a pretty good surgeon as well. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Dr. Milap Patel is an amazing surgeon . He is very patient and wise when it comes to questions that a patient isn’t familiar with. If you are a new patient, then just know you’re in great hands. Im a patient who unfortunately has Avascular Necrosis and Osteoporosis. Half of my cartilage and bone from my ankle died. He gave me the option to get it replaced by cutting that piece of bone cartilage off and replacing it with a cadaver’s. The success rate for this surgery is 60 percent and only 2 people in the state have gotten it. Today he gave me the news that now 3 have gotten it and recovered from it. I am that that third person in this state. Thanks to God, Dr. Patel and his amazing staff. Please be mindful that this surgery is extremely rare and complex. Again, I want to emphasize if you go with Dr. Milap Patel and his staff you will be in good hands.

Dr. Patel is definitely my new ortho. He quickly understood my injury, explained his expectations and managed mine through the whole process. Visits were on time without feeling rushed and my needs were met. He and his whole staff were caring and warm. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Patel seriously exceeded all expectations. I came in after my first severe injury, and I was fearful from what a previous doctor (non specialist) had told me about my condition. He treated my ankle fracture thoughtfully and had an exceptional sense of individualized care. Thanks Dr. Patel for reassuring me and believing in the natural health of my ankle!

Dr. Patel did an amazing job repairing my completely torn Achilles. The surgery went very smoothly; he and his entire team we’re very caring and completely professional throughout my surgery and recovery period. Surprisingly, I had two other friends with the exact same injury around the same time; I had no complications with my recovery like they did, and my healing process is actually now ahead of schedule. I believe my positive experience is a direct result of the care and excellent work done my Dr. Patel and his team.

I’m so glad I got a surgeon who specializes in ankles. Not only were he, his PAs, and his residents all competent, they were all kind. I also ran across several people in Chicago who could vouch for his excellence including my physical therapist and a random woman on the bus. Hopefully I never need another Orthopedic surgeon, but if I do, I’m going to go to someone who specializes in the specific joint or bone affected.
