I hope you and yours are enjoying the chilly weather. I'm enjoying it so much I'm moving south. :-)

I just wanted to send a quick not re Joe LaRock and his crew that worked on my priority over the late summer, early fall at Mossy Brook in Ashburn.

Long story made a little shorter, this rental was about to go on the market when the tenant during his last two weeks in the house decided to use the wrong grade extension cord to plug in his electric car. Turned into about 175k in damage. Since he was about to move out, he decided NOT to renew his renters insurance. Fortunately, I had good insurance with AllState.

Joe and team were aware this was about to go on the market and time was a factor. They did an amazing job. Not only with the outcome of the project, but with keeping me and my property manager in the loop with updates at all times. With the exception of the things that had to be the homeowner, he worked with Meghan, my amazing property manager. She also could not say enough about the great job this team did.

They finished on budget and on time. I'm not the most experience person in this area, but I would think that's the exception, not the rule. Especially with the serious supply chain these days.

When all was finished, the house, which once looked like it was melting, sold in less then one week, that's how impressive the finish product looked.

I rarely write this type of emails, but in this case, I really wanted to call out Joe and his exceptional team.

Hi Ryan,

I wanted to take this time to thank you and your company for the outstanding support since my house burned down.

From day one with the fire trucks still on premise, your company was there to guide me through this process. Your leaders (Josh, Joe) were invested in me and answered every one of my questions. They helped me navigate the insurance company and the mortgage company. I could shake their hands, and look them in the eyes and knew they cared. They each went above and beyond. They were professional, extremely knowledgeable, on schedule and under budget. As a program manager myself, they made this process look easy. I doubt I will ever be as good as these people.

I cannot say enough about them and your company. I would recommend this company to everyone. What started out as a horrible event, has turned into a positive with your help. I will be selling this house soon, and never would have gotten there without your company.

My respect and admiration for a well run company with people that really care.

Dear Mr. Michels,
We are writing to commend and recognize your company for the excellent work you provided in repairing and restoring our home after a very large tree crashed into the roof of our 60-year-old colonial last April 2021.
The tree destroyed 1/3 of the roof as well as a significant part of the brick wall on the second floor. Our insurance agent provided approximately 8 contractors which we immediately started interviewing and checking references. Our initial interaction with Loudoun Construction was with Mr. Josh Bland who was greatly reassuring and provided excellent communication with our insurance carrier. Mr. Joe LaRock was then introduced as our project manager and primary point of contact for the entire project. Both gentlemen were extremely accommodating as we took the opportunity to not only repair the damage but also to upgrade several bathrooms, painting, and exterior renovations.
Communication with and through Mr. LaRock was always professional, courteous, and reflected his deep knowledge and experience. Mr. LaRock even interacted and alerted neighbors when there was going to be a disruption in cul-de-sac traffic (e.g., truss delivery). We were always happy to see “Joe” and never felt that we were forgotten or put at the bottom of the list. Everyone was frustrated given COVID restrictions and resulting supply chain issues (n.b., Hardie Board availability) which unfortunately extended the anticipated repair time many months. However, arrangements and adjustments were handled with professionalism. Notably on several occasions, Mr. LaRock provided knowledge and assistance regarding several small repairs that I had foolishly undertaken. Clearly this was above and beyond any project requirements and was so very much appreciated.
We were also greatly please and impressed with the various sub-contractors that Loudoun engaged for our project. Uniformly their quality, efficiency, and integrity were excellent. We were very appreciative of having these specialists involved in key aspects of our project rather than employing generalists who did a little bit of everything. The quality really showed though with tile and flooring folks, the plumber (Yoni Lopez) was excellent, the painters were magicians, and general Loudon contractor (Mauricio Garcia) were rock solid, thorough, professional, and polite. Amazingly the masonry folks (Alex Riva AR Masonry) were able to match the texture and splatter paint of 60-year-old brick to a “T”.
On the rare occasion that a correction or modification was required, Mr. LaRock was able to quickly arrange for follow up services. There was nothing that was not addressed to our full satisfaction.
In conclusion, we would like to again recognize Mr. Joe LaRock who was excellent in his role as project manager for this large and evolving engagement. He provided excellent communication and coordination with us and many vendors and contractors and other service providers. He was always positive and upbeat through thick and thin and was never frustrated by our never-ending list of questions. His skill and composure reflect extremely well on the products and services provided to us by Loudon Construction.

Kelly and his team were top notch through our entire project. He was our point of contact to purchase our modular unit from Lakeview Homes in Penticton and helped manage the entire project. He was very open and transparent when it came to pricing and trades. Nothing was a surprise and if questions needed to be answered they were quick and concise. We went from a bare spot in our backyard to a great foundation and perfect little carriage house for our family to use for a long time. If you are doing a project use Loudon Construction.
