Purchased new system and added a RO as well. Sales rep that came to our home to do a water analysis was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. She set us up with what we needed and listened to our concerns. She answered all our questions. When the installer arrived. He took him time and did a fantastic job. Once David was done, the system was tucked in nice and neatly, with ample space to get in and be able to easily service the unit when required. He then took the time to go over everything with me. Highly recommend this product, along with the personal that installed it. Update: system has been working flawlessly. I’m impressed by the salt being used to soften our water. Because it is gear driven with the water that is used and not by timers on an electric setup. The back flushing of the system is based on water consumption and not on a set time. Also we do not have to worry about any power outages.

We have had our whole-home Kinetico system for nearly three years now, and the difference in our daily lives is undeniable. The most immediate change was the water quality—having clean, filtered water at every tap is a huge plus for the family. Since the installation, we’ve noticed we are using significantly less soap and detergent, and our appliances seem to be running much more efficiently without the scale buildup. A major win for us is the lack of hard water spots; we no longer deal with those stubborn white marks in the showers or tubs after use. The only trade-off we’ve experienced is a noticeable drop in water pressure, particularly in the bathrooms. It takes quite a bit longer to fill the bathtub than it used to, and I do wish the shower pressure was a bit stronger. Overall, though, the benefits of clean, soft water have made it a worthwhile investment for our home.

In February 2026 we replaced our Kinetico K5 Drinking Water Station. Our first Kinetico K5 lasted 13 years with no issues, so gave us more than expected service life. Tap water in Caledon, at times, smells and tastes like chemicals so not pleasant to drink or use for cooking. The K5 has always provided great tasting water and this time we added the Mineral Plus cartridge. When time came to replace the K5 (nothing lasts forever) we checked out various other brands both functionally and user reviews and none compared to the K5. Yes, the K5 may seem a little pricey but we weighed that against proven longevity, warranty and water taste test when available. Customer service team patiently answered our questions with no pressure to purchase a new unit. Installation was carefully and professionally done.

Weve had our kinetics system installed a few years ago and it made such a difference in the amount of everything we use. We use less soap, shampoo, dish soap, laundry detergent and theres been.no more scalling around our toilets and bath tubs. I particularly like the fact that our system is not electric and uses the pressure from the city water to drive the whole thing! The only thing Id say is that we have really irony water so our filer needs to be changed more often, but thats not a major issue for us. Now its just a bit of a pain to have to maintain the thing but its been a great and necessary addition to our household water system.

We had the full Kinetico water system installed in our home in 2010 from Trail Appliances south Calgary. It includes the water softener, chlorine system (that removes the city chlorine delivery), along with the drinking water filtration system, which is excellent for consumption and cooking! I myself, have changed out the main water filter (from city in) which ensures that hard minerals are captured before they enter our water supply, along with three filters for our drinking, cooking requirements, ( odour, charcoal, chlorine) which indicate when replacement is required. This is not a tedious process, which only takes minutes and does not require specialized tools. Our Kinetico water system has served us well, and continues to, 15 years on! We all enjoy the reduced deposits and cleaning time for the toilets, sinks, tub etc. Our kids, grandkids and us, especially enjoy the non metallic taste of our filtered water. Actually the plants like it too! I would highly recommend the Kinetico Water System for health and beauty benefits for all! Stop lugging those big jugs of water around!
