K9 Lux Resort has been so great for boarding our pup, Millie! We have been taking our puggle, Peggy, to K9 Resort for daycare and boarding since October 2023. Peggy squeals with excitement when we ask if she wants to go. She recognizes the building as soon as we pull into the parking lot and leaves us like a bad habit when we enter the door, without even a look back.
Doesn't matter if we are boarding her for 10 days or picking her up after a full day of daycare, Peggy leaves the place even happier than when she got there. It is evident that she had a wonderful time! The staff greets her by name and is just as happy to see her as she is to see them!

When I drop off Chauncey, my purebred Icelandic Teacup Elkoodle, at K9 Resorts, I expect excellence. Not service. Not hospitality. Excellence. And if you don’t know what an Elkoodle is, don’t embarrass yourself. Google it. Carefully. There are only 11 in North America and one of them gets flown to Scottsdale for seasonal coat maintenance.
Chauncey doesn’t “board.” He retreats. And K9 Resorts is the only place in the entire Midwest that gets that. From the second we step through the doors (I say we because our bond is legally spiritual), the energy shifts. The lighting softens. The air gets cleaner. My stress melts off. His eyes narrow in judgment.
The staff didn’t even flinch the first time he rolled in wearing his crystal-embedded anxiety vest, dragging his satin duffel, and tried to bite the air. They just said, “Welcome back, Chauncey,” like they were greeting a tiny, unstable prince. That’s how I knew we’d found our place.
I requested a hypoallergenic, gluten-free, cruelty-free lamb mousse served in a temperature-controlled bowl that matches the marble in his home en suite. They nodded. No questions. No notes. Last time, I swear he came home smelling like lavender, power, and emotionally distant royalty. I asked what shampoo they used and they just smiled like it was a classified government formula.
They also let him keep his emotional support duck overnight. It’s not real. It’s a taxidermy mallard named Ferdinand. Don’t ask.
The suite had better blackout curtains than my condo. I peeked through the window and caught him watching nature documentaries with his paws crossed like he pays taxes. He didn’t want to leave. Honestly? Neither did I.
This isn’t a pet hotel. It’s an institution. It’s a sanctuary for the canine elite. And if your dog has complex needs—like mood swings, dry paw pads, or a Scorpio moon—this is the only place you should even consider.

My pups love going there. They get so excited they scream for joy and jump up and down in the car when we pull into the parking lot (husky's). Everyone who works there is very friendly. They help me by coming and getting the pups out of the car and when I pick up, they bring them to the car. The facility is very clean.
Each month they have different activities scheduled. Today, they had bacon flavored bubble day. They spoil your fur babies! It is wonderful to go on vacation knowing Stella and Bella are well taken care of and having a blast! It’s their own vacation.

Lana has been boarded here for over 2 years now since we moved form TX and she loves it. They give her a beautiful husky blowout each time she stays and they feed her delicious food! We had to visit Dogtopia Olathe because Thanksgiving was booked. Never again is all I can say. Lana will stay at K9 Reports or we will stay home 🤣

K9 Luxury Pet Resort is wonderful. You would not know you are walking into a Pet Hotel. The place is spotless and everyone is so friendly and kind. We adopted our 3 year old pup who is super sweet and a snuggle bug but was never socialized with other dogs. We brought him here to try and learn some socialization skills and get acclimated to Doggie Day Care and Boarding. Our shih Tzu and Boston had not been kenneled before but we had a wedding out of town. Our dogs did great and K9 was able to send pics while we were away. The only thing I wish they'd do is let you bring in a dog bed, blankets or one of their toys, but they are non-fabrics of any kind. I understand the reasoning but the areas they sleep in are sterile. From every phone call, the initial visit, and our dogs first stay, the staff were wonderful. Our dogs have bad separation anxiety and don’t do well with other dogs. We tried several boarding facilities across the area and our dogs would be miserable for days after picking them up. K9 Pet Resort is the first time that we have picked up our pups and they weren’t stressed out. The private room and one-on-one attention has been a game changer. The facility is so clean and the staff is excellent. I would highly recommend them!

Great place to bring your dog. Staff is very friendly and the facility is very clean. We always book the executive suite which includes food. Only issue is when we bring our own food. There is no discount for the fact that our dog needs food without chicken or salmon which they serve to their dogs. Somewhat expensive as well to board your dog. We have a large dog, so other options are not possible for us to lower the cost.

We took our first dog there and he always loved going and they treated him amazing. Now, our current dog also goes there and also loves this place. She sprints to the door and is so excited when we pull up. Their facility is so nice and we haven’t had any issues since using them. We have used both the daycare and overnight services. I have found this place as a top notch boarding place for my Barney. I feel very safe when he is there and they take great care of him. He even has two girls friends there who he enjoys playing with in the recreation area. I recommend K9 resorts to everyone I know. Thank you for your great care.

My dog absolutely loves going to K9. He loves playing with his dog friends and getting all of the attention from staff. We use them for both daycare and boarding.

Our dog can’t wait to go through the front door when we arrive in the parking lot. Interaction with other dogs is really good for him. We know he is well cared for when he is boarded there.

I have been impressed and very pleased at the care and nurturing the staff has given our dogs. The staff are very caring and importantly, excellently trained to provide outstanding support for our dogs. I say that comparing K9 to other dog kennels in the Johnson County area and seeing first hand the love and care that staff members invest in our dogs.

Our dog, Millie, loves K9 Luxury Resort! When we walk in, tail is up with big smiles because she loves the employees, and she most of all enjoys playing with her doggie friends at daycare! The employees always greet us with a warm welcome; we love how excited the staff gets to see Millie. You can tell how much they care for all of the animals and their clients.
The facility is kept clean, and Millie doesn’t come home dirty. Whenever we drop Millie off at daycare or to board her, we are always put to ease that our girl is having fun and in a safe environment. :)

Our dog Poppy is a rescue and didn’t have a very good life until we adopted her. I trust K9 with her care. They feed her per our instructions which includes green bean Hills Science, at each feeding along with warm water and dog cookies of course. Poppy always comes home calm and happy. She enjoys playing with the other big dogs. I love that K9 also sends pictures of her plus an update while she boards there. I rate K9 an “A” for their care of our dog!

We tried K9 Resorts this year when we needed to board our aging Yellow Lab (11 years old), who needs some extra loving attention due to fear of storms. We were so happy with our experience. Checkin was easy. The care team paid attention to our dogs needs and instructions. The facility is clean. Daily photos of our dog really helped us not worry about how she was doing. The best was that there was no anxiety and depression shown by our dog once we got her home, which has happened at other places. So we know she was comfortable at K9 Resorts while we were gone. It’s a bit more expensive, but our dog doing so well made the price worth it. Thanks so much.

We take our border collie mix to both daycare and for overnight stays when we are out of town. Zoey loves the activity of playing with the other dogs. The staff has been very helpful and professional in making sure our dog gets the right mix of food and the proper care while she is in their hands. I have found no other dog boarding facility to be as well equipped and as professional as K9 Dog Resorts. They are first class!

My pups love going there. They get so excited they scream for joy and jump up and down in the car when we pull into the parking lot (huskys). Everyone who works there is very friendly. They help me by coming and getting the pups out of the car and when I pick up, they bring them to the car. The facility is very clean.
Each month they have different activities scheduled. Today, they had bacon flavored bubble day. They spoil your fur babies! It is wonderful to go on vacation knowing Stella and Bella are well taken care of and having a blast! It’s their own vacation.
I highly recommend them. Again, everyone there is extremely helpful and friendly.
Stella and Bella have been going to K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel in Overland Park for over a year now. They bring their sister Stratton with them also. They love it so much! They insist I take them at least once a week. When we pull up I have 3 huskamutes screaming for joy! Everyone who works there is truly amazing, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. It is a pleasure. Talking to the team when I drop the girls off and pick them up. I 100% recommend! Thank you for all the care you give our fur babies!

Hux really enjoys playing with the other dogs during his stay. The staff are friendly and location is clean. Any time he gets an injury, we are contacted asap. I would give it a 5 except his meds were forgotten to be given on a recent stay and caused his anxiety to be bad. They do have a lot of little fees that add up.

sunny, Our 80 pound chocolate lab absolutely loves K9 Resorts. She recently stayed for eight days in the luxury suite with our little 5 pound dog Bentley. It was their first time boarding together and they did fantastic. We love the care that K9 resorts gives to our dogs. We love the report cards and know that they are in good hands.

My “boys” absolutely love K9 Luxury Resorts!
They get so excited when we enter the facility. The staff know us pretty well by now and they know the dogs’ routines. By the way the dogs act, you can tell they are given plenty of attention and probably spoiled! I do wish they would reconsider changing the 2nd dog discount back to what it was previously. Always a great experience though!
