I'm very pleased with the overall experience with Gibson and the quality of their work. They were professional and communicated very well. The crew doing the work and supervision knew their craft well, worked hard and efficient, and paid attention to detail. The seawall itself appears well designed and strong. Details include a nice finish on the cap with beveled corners and extra drains through the seawall if needed for gutters/drain connections. They also did a good job filling-in/leveling the finished site with good dirt. Overall time on-site was a little over a week including some rain delays.

Gibson Marine built my new seawall and did a great job. Once on the schedule they arrived every day for 5 days and the crew was very professional and worked hard. Didn’t cut corners and went above and beyond my expectations. Cleaned up every day and when job was complete everything was cleaned up again. Couldn’t be happier with my new seawall.

Our seawall collapsed during Hurricane Milton in October 2024. Gibson Marine was our first call due to a referral from our neighbor. Mike immediately came out, expedited the permit, and started on our seawall within days. The Gibson Marine team worked 6 days a week to get the old wall removed and the new seawall installed. The new wall looks great, the tie in with the dock was seamless and our yard looks better than ever. I would definitely suggest Mike for any seawall or dock work!

My seawall started to fall the week before Helene hit. It was an emergency situation and Gibson moved quickly to support the ground and prevent loss of property. Communication with Mike was great and the finished product is safe and beautifully done. I would not hesitate to use them again if needed.

If I could give this company more 10 stars. I would.

EVERY person, from the office staff, management, to the workers in the field, were extremely friendly, helpful, efficient during the whole process!!!

We hit a roadblock with the EPC when trying to get a permit for my seawall. The Owner of Gibson personally attended my meeting with the EPC and helped me get an exception so we could get our permit. I honestly don't know if I would have gotten my seawall if I would have gone with another company. I am so happy I chose Gibson Marine instead of the other quotes I got.

In order to put a pool in our backyard we needed to install a span beam to support our sea wall. Mike Mittler was fantastic in helping us understand what was needed and how it should be addressed. Communication from initial contact (prior to committing to go with Gibson) all the way through project completion was excellent. Candace in their front office was very responsive and courteous and their Project Manager Greg was very easy to work with! Finally, Gibson was able to start and complete our project a week before the initial start date. The Crew that came out were very professional, hard working and left our place looking nice and clean of debris. I definitely recommend reaching out to Mike and Gibson Marine.

From the initial project proposal through the ultimate completion, everyone was very helpful, responsive and respectful. We cannot speak more highly of the quality and dedication of the Gibson Marine team!

Our project was extremely complicated due to:
a) extraordinary engineering of tie-backs to maximize space to facilitate positioning of pool within 1 inch of the existing seawall,
b) relatively large increase in elevation of seawall to accommodate a new lot drainage plan, and
c) construction of long side lot concrete returns to seawall (also in accordance with new drainage plan).

Tolerances for all aspects were within fractions of an inch. Gibson took on a challenge that other firms had walked away from.

Mike and Eric were intimately and actively involved from planning through construction. They were amazingly helpful, together with Greg, in guiding their hard-working and friendly construction crew through the complexities and nuances to deliver the perfection that was demanded.

As was to be expected with a project this complex, there were, of course, a couple of curveballs that came during the construction process itself. But this is where the Gibson team really proved their agility as a dimension of their best-in-class ability as a genuinely trustworthy service provider...they calmly and methodically simply made the adjustments required to hit the home run that we were striving for to help fulfill our vision!

I feel very confident in suggesting that everyone should reach out to Gibson Marine as a first choice for their seawall needs.
