Our 7-month-old pup, Chloe lacks confidence and is anxious out in the world. She balked at going through doors / gates / any change in pavement. We turned to Jodi and FurEver home because they specialize in exactly this type of issue. Jodi is an amazing trainer and human being! First, she helped us out as we were going away for a funeral and didn't want to leave Chloe with just anyone -- even though she already had a full schedule, she graciously allowed Chloe to board and train with her. Jodi had Chloe happily going in and out of a crate within 2 hours and she was essentially crate trained by the time we picked her up. For the six days Chloe was there, Jodi worked on building our pup's confidence, especially on getting her more comfortable going through doors and gates. She also worked with her on "wait" and "come" and also on the beginnings of loose leash walking, always providing her the proper balance between correction and praise. Jodi also trimmed some fur around Chloe's face, so she could see better (Chloe struggled so much with us that we were afraid we would hurt her) AND gave her a bath!! Jodi also provided us regular updates on Chloe's progress, including videos of her romping in the yard with other pups. We highly recommend Jodi and FurEver Home and plan to take Chloe for another board and train session in June when we go out of town for a wedding. It's such a comfort to know our dear Chloe is in good hands while we are gone and that she will be a happier, more confident dog when we return!

I recently adopted a little rescue dog. Jodi at furever home Dog Training is awesome, she specializes in "scared dogs", those who most likely have had very little human contact. She was very thorough and knowledgeable. She not only gets to know the dogs, she takes the time to get the human. She gave me multiple tools to help me train and make my little pup comfortable I recommend her if need training for any dog.

My husband and I first met Jodi about three months ago when we started volunteering working with her scared dogs to help get them acclimated to humans so they could eventually get adopted. We were so amazed at her dedication and love for these dogs. Jodi has a wealth of knowledge regarding dog behavior. We adopted one of her scared dogs a week ago. We took her training class before bringing our dog home. Her knowledge and techniques have been a tremendous help in getting our dog acclimated to his new home and us. We also appreciated that Jodi was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had after bringing our dog home. Jodi is an amazing dog trainer and an amazing human being. She cares so deeply about the dogs and their families. We found Jodi through the dog rescue that I also volunteer for. One of the dogs that we adopted had the most severe separation anxiety that we had ever seen. We called Jodi in a total panic and weren't sure what to do with him. She took him into her home for a board and train program and he returned home about 2 weeks later a completely different dog. He is trained with basic manners, he can be alone and not scream and cry and he an amazing little dog now. I was afraid that with the ideology of a dog trainer that he would be not loved on, and that was simply not true. Jodi gave Cooper the most love possible, she snuggled him, rocked him in a rocking chair and trained him amazingly. Jodi uses positive reinforcement and the dogs are never scared or nervous. She is amazing and I recommend her, above any other dog trainer.

We adopted a rescue pup who had been fostered with Jody for a little bit of time and from her explanation of how the dog came to her and the dog we were meeting, we knew it was a night and day difference. However, our girl is still shy and skittish around people.

We took Jody’s training course for fearful dogs and learned great ways to help foster trust with our new dog, establish routines, and advance her confidence. We have been using Jody’s “triangle method” to keep making progress. Additionally, we learned more about levels of adrenaline and how to minimize overt excitement.

We have not been with our rescue long, but in the short time she has been home, she has started to engage with us more, play with toys, and seems like an overall happy puppy. I would recommend Jody’s class to learn more about dog behaviors and useful techniques to improve trust and relationships.

I was given an 8 year old boarder collie who had not had much in the way of training and I knew that for allot of dog trainers this would be a problem. But Jodi knew exactly what to teach me so I comunicate better with him and explained his bad behaviors in way I could understand. I would recomend Jodi to any dog owner. Well worth the money.

We had a newly adopted dog that became very fearful after being with us for a week of to. This resulted in her hiding in a corner for 3 days. We enlisted the help of Jodi as she works with the rescue we adopted Betty from. Jodi was instrumental in helping us get Betty back into the part of the house that was her safe space and give us easy tools to follow that helped Betty learn to trust us and gain confidence. Since we live in Denver and Jodi is in Ft Collins we met over video and I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless the process was. I would highly recommend Jodi as a trainer!

Jodi came to our house on a Sunday and we live way out. She helped us work with our high strung mill puppy who was being really aggressive with our other dogs. It took some time but Waffles is getting along with our other dogs and he's is really making progress.

Jodi came out and met our 4 month old Belgian Malinois rescue pup when we needed guidance on how to begin training her. Jodi quickly identified our pup as a "back of the pack" girl and saw that she was taking her ques from our 7lb. Chihuahua. This information enabled us to start working on our new pups confidence and negative behaviors. Jodi also gave us thorough information about how to keep our Mal calm, along with kennel training tips. I highly recommend Jodi for any training, whether it's proactive or in response to behavior issues.

I worked with Jodi when I was adopting a rescue who was a little timid and shy. Jodi helped me out with several factors, including making sure the cat and dog would be compatible, addressing hesitation the dog had with tall men, and just making the dog comfortable after so much travel and being shuffled around. Her approach is unique in that she meets the dog where they are and taught me how to approach a dog without raising anxiety levels.

Overall, I think Jodi is an all around excellent trainer and resource, who is especially adept at understanding dog emotions and working to ensure the owner uses appropriate training techniques to achieve the end goal.

It was all good. Prior to arriving all of my concerns regarding my dog were discussed so the game plan was in place. Jodi asked me to go through my normal routine with my dog ( she has high anxiety and adrenaline) that I did while getting her out of the car. After my attempt failed Jodi went step by step on how to get my dog relaxed and in the right frame of mind so her and I could be successfull. Within 20 minutes she had my dog calm enough stop pulling on her leash and walk normally. Then one of Jodi's dogs was introduced and it was amazing. My dog did not over react and by the end of the session my dog was lying down a few feet away from a strange dog.
I would highly recommend Jodi and FurEver. She is very patient with dogs but more importantly patient with me. She exhibits a calm that is immediately passed to the dog which in turn helped me out a lot. looking forward to more and a better relationship with my dog. Who, by the way is a rescue.

I booked a first meeting with Jodi Little at our house and she came, meet our dogs, assesed them and shared so many great observations as well as amazing tools to calm our anxious older dog and how to build up her confidence in general. As soon as we implemented the training we saw an immidiate change! We've booked follow up appointments at her ranch and can't wait to see how we can further approve our dogs' wellbeing and get help with leash aggresiveness and anxiety around other dogs. Jodi was very helpul with our Austrailian Shepherd puppy that tried to herd us using nips. Her suggestions have really helped us to help our dog stay calmer and not try to herd us. She took careful consideration of our dog’s unique situation since he’s likely never been someone’s beloved pet and is quite skittish. We’ve only worked with Jodi once so far (we are scheduling more sessions as I type) but the difference in our household is amazing. We adopted a little shelter dog a couple of months ago who, unbeknownst to us, took over the house. After meeting with Jodi, she trained us to how to train our dog. There aren't enough words to explain how truly thankful our family is for the service Jodi and FurEver Dog Training provided. We had no idea what to expect when adopting our rescue dog Aspen, even though we've had pets before. We quickly learned that rescuing a scared shelter dog is very different. Jodi walked us through everything, showing us how to interact correctly with Aspen, in order to gain her trust. Once we brought Aspen home, Jodi has still been available and willing to give us helpful hints when something isn't working. In the 2 weeks Aspen has been with us, we've never felt alone because we know all we have to do is pick up the phone and Jodi will be there. She said that the animals she works with are her family and we know that to be true. We waited 2 years after our previous dog passed to open our hearts up to another dog and I firmly believe there was a reason for that. Not only did we find a wonderful little Aussie to give a loving home to, but we got to meet Jodi also. I promise you, by using FurEver Home Dog Training, you will be "forever" changed.. We recently adopted a furbaby from Jodi at Big Bones rescue. I rarely write reviews but Jodi is such a caring person and does SO much to alleviate suffering for our animal friends, including humans. She spent several hours before we left with Laney making sure we knew every aspect of how to best go forward with our absolutely terrified 5-year puppy mill Laney. Jodi is kind, encouraging, and patient - not just with my dog, but with me and my husband as well! We rescued a 6 month old pup (Harley) who was sick and had major separation anxiety and stranger danger. By the time I had called Jodi, I was at my wits end. I had tried calming sprays, toys, treats, everything you could think of, and nothing worked. Amongst other things, Jodi taught us how to read Harley’s body language and react appropriately to it. That was when I had really started to notice a difference in his behavior. Now, he is more confident and can be left home alone in his kennel without having a meltdown (my other dog, Yoda, is so grateful for that!). It takes practice, patience, and you need to put in the work, but it’s so worth it. I’d highly recommend Jodi to anyone looking for a dog trainer!
