Thank you First Light for everything you do! I picked my son up last week, after a challenging three months in wilderness. It has been a long time since I have seen my son so happy and relaxed. And for the first time, ever, he was able to communicate his emotions and needs in a healthy way. From the initial contact with First Light, to the weekly family therapy sessions to support me, weekly sessions with my child’s therapist, and the coordination with our educational consultant and the school to which he transitioned, I was very impressed. The online support is very insightful and a great support. All of the staff cares about these kids. And while this is a business, no one ever made me feel that way, not even the billing department. And an especially big thank you to Jamila and Kayla. You are both truly gifted therapists!

First Light really helped my 15 year old adopted daughter. I have only good things to say about it, both the environment and the staff. She was able to return to her boarding school and continue making progress there. First Light was intensively therapeutic, individualized and supportive. Her therapist and staff helped her dig into past trauma and current behavior. The parallel process approach helped us, as parents, to change to support our daughter. The weekly parent calls also helped us have more realistic expectations, and the ongoing parent alumni calls are similarly supportive.
