Excellent location to many places. Although it's adjacent to many places and near the main street, it is pretty quiet. You can't really hear the street noise if you're facing the main street. Seemed safe. It was clean inside and out. Snacks were a plus. Breakfast was decent, too.

The price is right!
We chose this hotel based on its location, we wanted something close to an event that we were attending. It’s not in what I would call a great area, there was a solid amount of homeless in adjacent parking lots. We did like that it’s just off the freeway, it made coming and going easy.
The hotel itself is a little rundown, but clean. I’m one of those people that wipes stuff down with a disinfectant wipe and the only thing that was gross was the A/C remote.
They’ve got a great staff! Everyone was very friendly. The young man that helped us was quick and efficient. There was a grumpy (and loud) guy checking in at the same time as us and they handled him well.
All in all, we’d stay here again.

My wife and I used to stay there for many years. But. It's apparently changed ownership several times? We stopped going there after the second owner took over. My wife has been gone for about 2 years now! My daughter booked me there because I had a meeting. I stayed one night. The air conditioning has improved a lot since the last time I was there. It had turbo. It pretty cold. The king sized bed and pillows? I usually don't sleep. I slept like a baby! I didn't want to get out of bed. But. I had to check out. As far as the condiments? That changed also. I was surprised. If stay again. Oh yeah! The small refrigerator/freezer? I had put a big bottled water in the freezer for a couple of hours approximately? It had frozen solid. I was surprised. Everything worked fine. I was a happy camper. I have no complaints!

Great beds, had no trouble sleeping. Also the pillows were sore and fluffy too.
The breakfast was truly very nice.
From cut up fruit to different flavor of waffles.
The people were helpful and very pleasant

Great staff earns the 5*. Pretty good full breakfast. Front staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Any request is fulfilled quickly and politely. Ample parking even when busy. Across the street from a good sized shopping center. Plenty of nearby restaurants and fast food places. Indeed, In n Out across the parking lot. Right off the I-15 freeway yet rooms are well nos insulated. Very clean and well managed hotel. I to my hay to Raj and his entire staff!

great location, lots of food within walking distance. Close to San Diego, yet outside all the hustle of the city. Breakfast is very good and the room was always kept clean. Well worth the price.

I like the hotel. The beds are comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast is outstanding and they are many different things to choose from. The price is reasonable. They put snacks and water in the room for your enjoyment. There is a microwave and refrigerator in every room. There are food places in walking distance.

I’m always hesitant booking in an area that I’m unfamiliar with, but am so happy I went with this hotel. Location was great, service was great. Room was super comfortable. I originally booked 3 nights but ended up extending my stay another 3 nights. I am so pleased that I chose Comfort Inn. Thank you for making my stay an enjoyable experience!!

we booked last minute trip to Safari Park for the holiday. The location of this hotel was closed to the zoo and conveniently to everything necessity. There are lot of good restaurants, target and gas station within walking distance. Prior booking I was not expecting much but was very pleased with the welcoming vibe ,service,clean room, comfortable bed , balcony with a great breeze, most of all the welcome basket and drinks in room are thoughtful . overall this hotel give exceptional hospitality feel for a 3 star hotel.
breakfast was basic but good to have and convenient because we did not have to go out for breakfast. 5/5 and we will return if we come back in this area.

p.s. we ordered foods from Phil's BBQ which is 10 minutes drive from the hotel and it was nice that the room had microwave and refrigerator. i was able to warm it up and stored it in the fridge.

It was a one night stay but I enjoyed my stay. Excellent hospitality and loved the little extras in the room. The breakfast was amazing. We would definitely come back. The area was convenient and easy to get around.

When booking, the front desk guy told us this hotel was "one of the best Comfort Inns in California" And I actually agree! It isn't fancy, but all the important things are nice. The bed is comfortable, the service personnel are friendly, and the Jacuzzi works. Probably best of all, the breakfast is awesome. If you're looking for a comfortable hotel that excels at the basics, this place is perfect. Highly recommended! We'll be back.

I had a four night stay. Came to visit family and of course the beach. I felt very comfortable and safe. Older hotel but clean and great services. The front desk was very friendly & their breakfast choices had something for everyone! The pool area needs to be replaced!! Clean but in bad shape. The jacuzzi didn’t work at all in my stay so that was disappointing. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. I will be back. So convenient to everything.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable! They left a welcome basket of snacks on our arrival! Breakfast was very good and the staff kept it filled up! Loved the fresh fruit everyday! The pool was nice and refreshing after a day of sightseeing! Excellent friendly staff to meet our needs! We will stay here again!

I was very comfortable at this hotel. The room was nice, and there was no traffic noise outside to keep me awake. The day I arrived the temperatures were fairly mild, so the hotel staff had left the balcony door open to let fresh air into the room. I thought that was a nice touch. However, what especially caught my attention was the basket of free snacks that awaited me. There must have been six or seven snacks (little bags of chips, packs of peanut butter crackers, Oreo cookies, trail mix) and also two bottles of water. All at no cost. That may be a small thing, but it made the hotel stand out in my mind.

First room smelled strongly of cannabis and they switched us to another room which was fine. Nothing mad fancy, but this hotel gets the job done. Breakfast was good and included fresh cut fruit which is amazing in our experience of free breakfasts. Pool shows some wear but clean and refreshing. Spa works and was nice after long drive. Appreciated the balcony too. Staff was nice, not exceptional but nice. Would stay again (probably this trip lol)

Very friendly staff - always helpful. I liked that the washer/dryer was right there on the floor. And also the complimentary breakfasts were the best I've had at a hotel in while! watermelon, grapes, and other tasty things made it especially good for me and I was happy to tip the staff who were doing that service.

Such great reception by front desk! Young man was soooo informative! Pool needs serious updating! Clean but cracks and worn. My room was close to elevator and ice machine- very noisy. Super high price for this lodging. Bed clean and very comfortable!! Huge plus!

Came here for a final night in a tour of the southwest before making our way to the airport. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, comfortable bed and nice pool on a hot day. I’d stay here again!

I like the comfort inn in Escondido. It is in a good location, close to the freeway,,fast food places, and restaurants. They serve a really big buffet breakfast every morning. I have never had a problem getting a reservation. The room are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. There is a pool and jacuzzi for your enjoyment.

Nice stay overall. Can get loud on the weekends but that happens everywhere these days. Brought a small sound machine and that helped a lot. The breakfast was good and the pool and hot tub were fun. They were crowded on the weekend. Snacks in the room were nice. A bit outdated but very clean. They were even steam cleaning the carpets while we were there. The beds were comfortable and the balcony was cute and nice to sit at. They also have cleaning service daily which is nice. The staff were very friendly.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. When we got to our room it was clean the window had been left open with a nice breeze but I later noticed that the rug felt a little damp maybe from the humidity? Otherwise all in all it was a pleasant stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn, Escondido CA. The location is excellent, close to the freeway and lots of shopping. We were greeted very courteously, and were surprised to find complimentary snacks and water in the room. I loved the little balcony to sit outside. The room was clean, large and quiet.

It was just fine the hotel is older but still in good shape the beds were comfy but tall. We rarely heard the neighbors. The hallways were hot and the elevator tiny and had to pay attention to what floor as there were little to no markings and the screen inside didn't do anything. I felt safe and the staff was friendly. I'd stay here again if needed and would suggest to someone else.

This is a go-to spot if you're visiting friends and family in SoCal. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Excellent complimentary breakfast each morning, and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. I have stayed here over the past 10 years and is always constantly a nice stay. I highly recommend CI Escondido.

Service was great, beds are comfy, rooms are super clean, they went above and beyond and even provided snacks in the room upon check in! Breakfast exceeded expectations too, the biscuits and gravy was delicious! Perfect for anyone going to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, but it’s also about 30 minutes away from most other places in SD. You can’t go wrong here

Its an OK place to spend a night or 2. The rooms are dated but OK and have been updated in the past 3 or so years, the Air Cond has been updated and works fine and it's not noisy, the pool is pretty good and there is an In and Out next Door. Breakfast is nothing special but is OK. Overall it's an OK place to spend a night or 2.

Easy check-in. Was explained all facilities provided. Free water in each room. Courteous staff. Rooms had snacks. They gave us water bottles when we ran out even in the middle of the night. Overall a comfortable stay.

My husband and I stayed last night with our two young girls. Not only were we greeted with a snack basket when we walked into our room but we also loved the comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. The manager is extremely professional, friendly and helpful! Unfortunately my husband left his wedding ring but the manager helped us figure out how to get it back to us without having to drive all the way back! 10/10 would recommend!

Had a very large group of kids under 15. Parents like them run around and make noise. I blame the parents for not teaching their kids not to disturb others in a hotel

Great location to all services. Quiet rooms and property. Front desk associates are great. Rooms are small and a bit tight, but we just showered and slept there. Would recommend for the price savings in Escondido opposed to staying in San Diego for alot more money.

The best was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in a hotel and I’ve been to a lot of nice hotels. Rooms are on the small side but extremely clean.

The location was great! Many restaurants around it. Hotel has lots of good amenities. The pool & hot tub were nice! Good service & friendly staff. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because the room was not 100% thoroughly cleaned, we found a piece of fruit on the floor next to the bed and I saw a small roach in the restroom. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay!

Very convenient to everything Escondido including Freeways to beaches & greater San Diego.

Staff are friendly & efficient. owner/manager is patriarchal & communicator style a bit brusk.

Located in the center of town with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby this comfort inn is one of my favorites clean and convenient... they have balcony views in every room which is nice when traveling lots of fresh air the beds are huge and comfortable and the breakfast is great with a large verity to choose from... this is my new go to spot
