Because it was the first time ever that I would be getting braids, I asked for referrals and did my own research to find the right salon for me. I was particularly concerned about my short hair, which is not the required length all round at a number of salons. It was the recent post below by “New Me” that prompted me to reach out to Anita.

I initially called Anita and then chose to pass by one morning so that Anita could see my hair length and texture for herself. Anita was gracious and welcoming, and answered my many questions.

Today I finally sat with her for my appointment, and I am so happy. Any apprehension that I had based on stories I have heard about getting braids—from how to pass the time to enduring pain, they are all unfounded with Anita. She not only handles your hair and head with care, but also your spirit. The time went by so quickly, I didn’t even watch any of the downloaded movies or read any of the items I packed for entertaining myself during my appointment.

Anita is both professional and personable. This first appointment with her will certainly not be my last, and I am so grateful to have met such a wonderful person. Thank you, Anita!
